Bronze Star Moving and Storage is part of a bigger scam running between moving companies. We were moving across the country and had hired another company. After waiting three weeks for our things to arrive we were told that our belongings had been “accidentally” shipped to New Hampshire and needed to be picked up immediately or they would be put in storage for six months. Our first company contacted Bronze Star to help us move our items and we sent them $9500. expecting them to pickup our belongings and deliver them accordingly. Bronze Star needed the money immediately and we wired it through Bank of America that day. Turns out our things were never in New Hampshire and both companies were running a scam. The DOT got involved and Bronze Star said they would refund our money. That was five months ago.
The owner of Bronze Star is Yousef Mahmoud and he says his company isn’t solvent enough to pay us back our money. He’s waiting for a check from his bank to come in the mail. Obviously he’s running another type of scam. Don’t use Bronze Star. Mr. Mahmoud is dishonest and has many complaints registered against his company.
Recommendation: Go with a reputable company
