These guys are total scammers, they claim to host your site and in order to do that you give them your credit card number. I did this and it was supposed to be less than $4.95/mo. Well once they have your information - look out - they will rack up charges on it. Tried their customer service and can't get anywhere. Stay away from them www.brainhost.com. I am filing a complaint with the state and trying to get the charges reversed on my card - which they maxed out.

Hi Brian - I can assure you we have an extensive support department, I just happen to be the person assigned to monitoring forums. :)

As for your hosting plan... the cheapest plan we offer is our four year plan, which works out to be $4.95 per month. However, as with most hosting companies you pay for the duration of the plan up front and are re-billed whenever your plan is set to renew. For example, if you sign up for a one year plan, you are billed every year. If you sign up for a two year plan, you are billed every two years. If you wish to pay a monthly price instead, you can switch to a monthly plan instead, which is $9.95 per month. All of this is explained on our order page, before you submit your order.

If you wish to change your hosting plan, please contact Customer Support. We also offer a 30-day guarantee if you wish to cancel.

Hi everyone!
I am using brainhost.com as my website www.arttattooshow.com is hosted by them. I am still not so convinced by them. My question is why is most of this so called well known marketers like Sam Benjamin, Tom Bell keep refering the buyers of their products to the same host company considering the amount of complaints that this company receives. I am suspecting that all this maketers are working together to rip innoccent people's money for their benefit. If you noticed that when you buy this one of this marketers products, you are promised free blog sites only if you sign up with brain host. In my case it was the same when I purchased commission takers, and did not trust the host at all after doing some investigation on them, But had no choice as was forced to sign up with them in order for my sites to make profit. But on a positive side I had my site designed on time even though I never had any input regarding keywords to use, which I gues is because it given for free. I also received my 18 blog sites recently, but I did not take a long plan with them as I still not convinced with their service unless if they can remove the red tag on them by providing an oustanding service. My plea to brain host is please try to satisfy your customers needs without putting money first as it seems it the only motive based on the complaints I often read.

Brainhost.com is a scam - watch out they take your money! I was wanting to create a website for my business and was directed to brainhost.com - I requested the cheapest package available and once I hit the submit button, I was billed for over $200 on my credit card! I did not want nor request this package! It doesn't matter what package you request, you will end up with the highest package so watch out! This is a scam! I am reporting this along with complaint and I suggest anyone who has been in this situation do the same thing, otherwise they will not quit! WATCH OUT AND DO NOT HOST THROUGH THIS SITE - and Jenny M is the only one working for this company...yet it's not even a girl - right "Jenny M" quit hiding behind your computer and stealing people's money!

No you are not sorry honestman. No one ever answers the phone or respond to the support tickets. I am impressed by the way they go around the internet and respond to all negative feed back about Brain Host ...tying to fool everyone that you have a great support team. Once you becomes paid customer there is no one to help you with technical issue or refund. BRAIN HOST IS THE WORST HOSTING COMPANY I HAD EVER USED. (I know the will try to give a positive response to this comment but don't believe any word of it.)

Affiliate - I've tried accessing your site (as well as our own) from several different IP addresses and haven't had a problem. Again, try clearing your cache first, and if that doesn't work follow the steps I laid out in my comment above. If you are trying to access the backend of your website, you need to add /wp-admin or /cpanel to the end of your URL, depending on which area you are trying to get to.

Hi flyguy78 - I work for Brain Host Customer Support. We've been working with you for a while now, so I'll repeat my response here. We do offer a $4.95 per month plan - this pricing is available for people who sign up for our 2-year package. We also offer plans that range from monthly pricing, 6 month, yearly, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, etc. The duration of your plan determines your monthly price. The longer you sign up for, the lower your monthly price. All of this is explained on our order page, before you enter in your credit card information or confirm your order. Before you confirm your order, you choose your plan. We do not bill your credit card until you choose your plan and confirm your order. After that you are not billed again until your plan is set to renew. For example, if you choose a yearly plan, you are not billed again for one year. If you choose a two-year plan, you are not billed again for two years. You can cancel your plan at any time, and we offer a 30-day refund. If you refund within the 30 days you'll be refunded for the remainder of your term. Please contact Customer Support if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Jenny M.

I am so shocked to read this at this time, I am a south african based in uae and a newbie in online marketing. I purchased commission takers a week ago and was refered to brain host for the free website of which I did get it but after some hustle. And again commission takers offers you 18 free blog sites but you have to signed up with brain host for web hosting. I did sign again and was taken to the payment page of which state that, they will host your site for free in one year and then bill you $95 every 12 months but after confirming my payment details, istead of them taking me to the corfimation payment page, i was taken back to registration page for the domain. Now I have no idea of what is going on as they have my details of the credit card and wasn't given the product. I have sent numerous emails to commission takers with no reply, BH cant help me what they telling me is they cant help me. I need anyone who has been in the same situation with brain host, and commission takers. I am starting to suspect that Sam Benjamin the creator of CT is part of the get rich scheme because after I purchased his product I ''ve been getting a lot of spammers from my email.

The owners of the company are frauds. In my opinion they are very into "getting rich quickly at others people's expense". Their other front company is NSA Technologies. They are being sued for numerous internet related schemes by the Ohio Attorney General. You can read about the suit at the Ohio AG's website here: http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/getattachment/20417573-2d0d-4463-9d72-28720e5264c6/2010-Consumer-Annual-Report.aspx
You can also read about their "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau here: http://www.bbb.org/akron/business-reviews/work-at-home-companies/nsa-technologies-in-akron-oh-143348871
Watch out and good luck.

Hello, I work for Brain Host Customer Support. The credit card page is actually a standard page that most companies who do business online have to help explain how our billing practices to people who may not understand how pending or authorization charges work (these are the charges your financial institution apply to your credit card to ensure you have funds available and then remove from your account), or to help remind people who we are since we offer plans that range in duration from 6 months to four years. We do not bill anyone's credit card until they have reviewed and confirmed their purchase, and we offer a 30-day refund policy, which you can take advantage of by contacting us at any time by either calling our support number at [protected], issuing a support ticket by visiting www.brainhost.com/help, or emailing us at support [at] brainhost.com. All of our fees and policies are listed clearly on both our order page and in our Terms of Service, which you can find on our website, www.brainhost.com. If you are still having trouble viewing our website, you can resolve this issue by clearing your cache and cookies, we have NOT vanished from the Internet. If you are still having trouble implementing any of these suggestions or have additional questions, please feel free to contact us and our tech support team can help you out. If you were referred to Brain Host by a third party Internet marketing product/service and are having trouble with their customer service or product, then you will need to contact their customer support department, as we are separate companies and we only provide the hosting for their customers.

Contacted the AG today, found out this place just started business. The world HQ address is mail drop/forwarding store front. Akso found it's owned by this character featured in the NY Daily News in 2008.

No easy money with web promise
BY Elizabeth Lazarowitz
DAILY NEWS BUSINESS WRITER

THE PITCH

In this sluggish economy, who wouldn't want to make some extra cash? So when we got an e-mail from politically conservative Web site Newsmax.com touting a sponsor, Lauren Mitchell, we were intrigued. Mitchell wrote how she'd tried a bunch of Web sites that promised to pay hundreds of dollars a day just for filling out surveys online.

"YEAH RIGHT, I didn't make anything, " she said. But then, Mitchell saw marketing managers on TV talking about makingmoneytakingsurveys.biz.

Mitchell claimed she made nearly $100 in her first day just by filling out three simple surveys.

What a deal! Before the site was taken down last week, it was full of photos of testimonials, a fancy video presentation and assurances that we'll be able to quit our jobs, drive our dream car and spend more time with the kids. That's almost as good as miracle cure!

THE HITCH

Everything we'd need could be had for a one-year membership fee of $39.95 - less than a buck a week!

The site told us we'd make it all back once we start raking in the survey dough. The company, (NSA Technologies, whose address, according to the Better Business Bureau, is that of an Akron, Ohio, UPS shop) offered us a money-back guarantee and said we'd be buying through Clickbank, "a trusted online retailer."

Once we paid, we were given a user name and password ("vip" and "access") that made us feel special. Next was a Survey Data Form that asked for our info, including our address and phone number. We declined an offer to upgrade our membership for another $9.95 and passed through a barrage of ads - including one for a $328 training course supposedly designed to boost our survey-taking ability.

And then we were in! Or sort of. We were instructed to download programs, which only brought us lots of ads, and register with lots of companies.

What we got for our $40 was a list of survey Web sites. Some appear legitimate (names like Microsoft, NPD Group and Rolling Stone), but most of those are free to join and offer only to enter you in a sweepstakes. Adding insult to injury, our mailbox is now full of messages from "Lauren" promising we'll be able to make quick money at other jobs like data entry - if we just pay another $100 or so.

Neither Newsmax nor Vincent Fisher, the head of NSA Technologies, returned calls.

Work-at-home schemes lure consumers with misleading ads and high-pressure tactics, said Leonard Gordon, director of the Federal Trade Commission's northeast regional office, adding that the bold claims of easy money should be a red flag.

"Ask yourself: 'Do you know anybody who does this?' " Gordon said. "If you don't know anybody who's able to do this successfully, as industrious and creative as people in New York are, it's a pretty good likelihood that it can't be done."

You stand to lose more than a few bucks, Gordon added. If you take the bait, you've probably given scammers your credit card or bank account data, which they can sell to identity thieves. That's their get-rich-quick scheme

Hello - I work for Brain Host Customer Support. I'm sorry you're having problems with us. You can reach us any time by either calling us at [protected], submitting a ticket at www.brainhost.com/help, or emailing us at priority [at] brainhost.com. We do offer a $4.95/month plan when you sign up for 4 years (our plans range in price from $4.95 per month to $9.95 per month, depending on how long you sign up for), which ends up being billed at $237.60 every 48 months, as is stated on our order page. If you would like to downgrade to a cheaper plan you can always do so by contacting us through any of the ways mentioned above (for the fastest response, I would recommend emailing the priority [at] brainhost.com address). We also have a 30-day refund policy, so if you would like a refund that would also be no problem.

Hope this helps!
