The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

After calling the store to settle an outstanding balance on four videos that were returned late and charged to my account at an extremely unfair price, a manager, after considering and dismissing an offer in compromise, told me "If you didn't care about this bill, you wouldn't be calling here *itching to me." When I addressed the foul language she used towards me, she argued that she had said "witching, and not the word I thought I heard." When I spoke to the store manager about this, he dismissed my complaint saying; "I've never heard (that manager) talk like that to a customer before, I do not believe that she used that language with you." I then asked for the district manager's contact information, and after three attempts to contact him and about 45 days, he has not returned my phone calls. This can't even be considered poor customer service, it's just a complete lack of customer service.

blockbuster is so bad i can't even believe it i think my poo would have better service then them and i have recently rented to movies and a game and all tree have been scratched i know it's not there fault it is scratched but they could have a least said sorry it is not scratched or go out the back and test it on a machine it's not like they have no money to buy the machines i seen diamonds cheaper and i also went in on a cheap tuesday and they said oh sorry that doesn't count that will be five dollars i only had to dollars on me so i had to ride home get three dollars off grandma and then pay the rediculous price it is unbelievable

i work at blockbuster, and i am a manager and i don't use foul language. The one thing i don't do is forgive restocking fees. when the customer signs a contract (new member application) they say that they will pay the fees that they accumulate. I also will not forgive permanent auto sells because we tell all customers of the auto sells, and the time where we cannot take the items back. Of course this is a different store then the one that you rent at, and maybe it is their management that is off.
I would also like to tell customers, please pay attention that you are responsible for your movies, and when you return them, don't get mad the the employees because they are doing their job, they tend to get yelled at for them doing their job. Most of the blockbuster employee standards prevent them from giving out free rentals, and taking off fees for peoples mistakes.
Personally I have been written up for doing this kind of thing, and I don't want to get fired, so think how the other employees feel.

OP - get netflix. but before you do, go rent three of you favorite movies from blockbuster and don't return them.

You are charged the current selling price of the item. Don't want to pay it? Heres an idea return your stuff on time and you wont be charged:) How did you talk to the manager? did you yell and make a scene?
