I received a threatening letter from BlackRock Legal Group yesterday for a debt that I do not have
I received a threatening letter from BlackRock Legal Group yesterday for a debt that I do not have. This letter makes several threats about a lawsuit and doing a hard inquiry on my credit report. This letter is absolutely absurd and BlackRock Legal Group needs to stop with the threats.

On Thursday, June 16, 2022, I received a letter of the threat of civil legal action against me for an alleged debt to Advance America. The due date is June 22, 2022, with six days to respond. The letter lacked any information on the original agreement, and although I have done business with Advance America in the past, I have not done business with them for more than 11 - 12 years. BlackRock Legal Group also listed my credit score, and they did so without my permission. This letter is absolutely absurd, and the threat goes against all CA laws when collecting an alleged debt.

BlackRock Legal Group sent me what says to be a second attempt to collect on a debt that was for Advanced America. I never received a first notice. This seems to be a scare tactic. I have not done business with Advanced America in more than 12 years. This letter looks to be a form letter with information filled in. They have also sent a text message to my cell phone with threats of court proceedings and wage garnishment. This original debt is more than the statute of limitations in my state to be able to sue someone over a debt is 10 years. This seems to be a scam and I have contacted my lawyer to deal with anything further with this business.

I received a letter from BlackRock Legal Group threatening legal action against me for a payday loan that I never applied for nor received. The letter has my current credit score which means they accessed my credit report without my permission and again are threatening me with civil lawsuit, wage garnishment, liens, etc. They claim I owe $986.08. The letter originates from a BlackRock Legal Group and I do not know if someone else obtained this loan in my name or if this is an outright scam? I show no listing of owing any debt on my credit reports and see no collections or public record marks on my credit reports. Please advise me as to if this is legit. Thank you.
