Black Tar Construction

Black Tar Paving paved the driveway of my house on July 29. I found that the asphalt was not properly paved and there were safety issues caused by it. The pavement should have a slope from crown to edge, and also have a positive slope from the street to the house. However, Black Tar Paving made a slope from edge to crown, and negative slope from the street to the middle point of the driveway. In the winter, there must be a snow pile beside the driveway. The combination of the negative slope and the snow pile blocks the water flowing and will create a large puddle, which will freeze to create a large sheet of ice. My family and visitors will be at severe risk of slipping and falling. I asked them to fix the issue once I took notice of this fact. ***, the *** of Black Tar Paving, had agreed with me and promised to fix it in one week. He returned two days later with his ***, who repeatedly stated that the driveway was paved with proper grading and refused to fix the driveway. I disagreed with their assessment, but they ignored my opinion due to their experience, and my lack thereof. Following this, I have found documents from the internet: One being "Minimum Grading and Servicing Plan Specifications" from the ***, and the other being "***" from the ***, which Black Tar Paving is a member of. Both of these documents support my assertion that the pavement should have a slope from crown to edge, and also have positive slope from the street to the house. I have provided these documents to Black Tar Paving, and their response was that while the documents were correct about the grading, they intentionally chose to ignore the specifications and create a negative slope for my own "benefit". When I inquired about what these benefits were, they could not provide a satisfactory answer. Black Tar Paving still refuses to fix the driveway as of today.
