We’ve had one of the worst customer experiences ever with Bed Bath & Beyond. We ordered two outdoor privacy screens for our new pool area — they arrived completely rusted and unusable. We were then told we had to pay nearly the full purchase price just to return them. The only way around that was to pay for a membership just to get free return shipping.
They refused to issue a refund and gave us store credit instead, so we tried again and ordered a different set of screens. Those arrived mismatched — literally two different colors on the same product! After several painful phone calls, multiple returns, and wasting hours of time repackaging and driving items to UPS, we were again sent the wrong item.
One helpful rep finally acknowledged how ridiculous the situation was and told us we’d get a full refund to our credit card due to all the issues. But surprise — we were issued store credit again. At this point, we have no interest in spending another cent with this company. Every product we’ve received was low-quality, defective, or incorrect, and their customer service cannot follow through on what they promise.
This experience completely tainted what should’ve been a fun project decorating our new pool area. I’ll be sharing our experience everywhere I can to help other customers avoid the same frustration.
Recommendation: Do not shop with this company, very difficult to deal with.
