Have filed a Claim for cancellation of Foreign Trip and the company very categorically rejected the claim stating that under the Section 12 Sub Clause 2 wherein the company shallonly reimburse on the death of the insured spouse or parent or child. They expect a minor child to travel alone on a vacation.The claim had been filed as I lost my father and the trip had to be cancelled for the entire family of 4 including my wife and 2 children aged 13 & 9 respectively. Further, after lot of follow up and contacts with senior officials my claim was accepted to be processed by them. Despite submitting all bills of travel and cancellation charges that I had to bare they kept asking for refund amount details. It clearly indicates that the company has a policy of just fooling aroundd and frustrating the insured. In short they are the worst company to take a policy from as they only can harrass and have no ethics in place.
Further, despite the approved amount of Rs 31000.00 against hotel cancellation they have remitted only 25% of the said approved amount ebing 7881.00 and on repeated mails for the explanations being sent they have categorically maintained silence.
Claimed loss: Rs 250418.00
Desired outcome: The company should look into the matter with open eyes and not ignore the details and harp around looking for details which have been already provided. I want my refund.
