I was looking for extra security for my iPhone and IPad. My IPhone is an iPhone 7 and my iPad is a 2018. After I installed the software everything began acting buggy in the way some of my other apps quit opening so I am uninstalling even though I had purchased a 1 year subscription. I recommend that others just try out the monthly if you are going to give it a shot to see if you have any issues first.

I have no clue how to get you guy’s. I called your office numerous times back in 2020 and 2021 trying to get my money and you guys told me you did not have my history of me paying you $17. But you also confirmed that I had downloaded your app then you told me to call google and ask for my refund and google has no place where you can call and get your money back. You scummed me of $17.00. I want my money back.

I prefer avg on my Android. Has scanning options, turn app off options, delete useless junk option, all of this along with the options this one on iOS has..even paid for a month hoping I’d get more perks... I didn’t . Will cancel before end of trial now. Will return when you all get better options. The stars I gave are there because avg still has easy to use internet protections with their activated protection.

My only complaint about this software is having to pay additional fee for each divice on the same home network. Well there is another and that being there is no details of what the software is doing and no documentation to give details when it notifies if an attack. Or intrusion hack or virus or trojan virus or even details when it warns of a malicious site it just blocked not even why it determined the site is malicious and blocked it.

I’ve found that almost every program AVG makes is top of the line. They’re somewhat easy to set up and use even if you’re a tech dinosaur. The customer/ tech service is fantastic, very quick to resolve any problems. The only drawback is the price. As a senior living on a fixed income and bad economy I may not be able to renew next year, but that’s just me. You can’t go wrong with any of their products, the ones I use are spot on terrific!

Very slow to connect to the internet if it even does at times! Make a patch, about to jump ship!, spoke to several technicians and uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times!

Absolutely terrible! Been in contact with you guys since the 25th of April, and the only thing I’ve been told is to uninstall and reinstall by multiple technicians, who fail to read all the threads in these emails, would see I’ve done this numerous times!, what now?

Interested in AVG? Read their privacy policy. DO NOT get their VPN. and stay away from their software. They also have software which they designed for children and explicitly state “WE WILL ONLY GATHER PERSONAL DATA ON CHILDREN UNDER 13 years OLD.” Czech Republic that work with the Russian Federation, you claim to be under the EUA agreement. Doubtful. You sell data, and expose millions of Americans personal information, and worse than that, your wording makes me wonder about the children data policy.

Thought I’d give AVG another try. Signed up for a FREE 14 day trial to see if issues I had a couple of years ago with it had been resolved. Well…… instead of my FREE trial they charged me for a whole year! I’ve contacted Apple and having charges reversed and cancelled subscription. Although AVG may be a good product I do not appreciate being charged for a free offer before trial period over (immediately charged!) I’ve never had a virus in my phone and use Malwarebytes but thought I’d give AVG a try since it’s cheaper. Very disappointed.

I do not want to add VPN because professional criminal hacker and cyber criminal Ruslan Allahverdi running Intellipdf.com lives and works below my apartment and he is hacking my computers via VPN among other things. He has a n international cybercriminal crew of more than 60 and they are using my computers to run their racketeering activities including tax evasion and money laundering. Please report to FBI. Every time I get into this app it always says I have an issue detected even if I’m not on my phone all day and every time I download it on a new device it says issue detected even if it hasn’t even been used before and it slowed down my apps so much to the point where I can’t even use them anymore I deleted it and it still kept the VPN so I had to download it again turn off the VPN and it still didn’t work so what do I do now but yeah personally I think this hat is horrible the protection is good it’s just the fact that it’s slow doesn’t actually do anything

The “Web Protection” component of the app is broken. The VPN often breaks and causes IP leakage, and the online activity counter is unreliable and doesn’t actually measure the amount of websites visited, etc. I was told this would be fixed soon and was a “top priority” by AVG support/development team. Unfortunately, 5 months have passed and the issues persists.

As a core component of the app, it’s unacceptable that AVG continues to let such issues go unchecked and unresolved. If/when these problems are addressed, I’ll happily provide an updated review. Until then, this is 2 out of 5 stars.

I updated my phone to a new iPhone 14. I backed up
My phone and made sure I had all access to everything stored and backed up appropriately . I had pictures of my deceased family member that I wanted to keep stored for safe keeping. After doing what any normal person would do and save their info and back it up, ALL OF INFO AND PICTURES WERE LOST. Avg customer support responded to me and said

“ I would like to clarify that reset, reinstall or any changes done to the folder (Vault) will not allow you to recover the pictures stored in Vault.
“

AVG does not warn you beforehand so CANCELLED
MY SUBSCRIPTION before my 12 months was up! Worthless AP that I highly regarded previously. I will NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO NOBODY!

I had been using the app for a year and renewed my subscription. I had gotten a leaked password alert about a certain website I had made a purchase at. I changed my password, problem solved.

Recently, I received the same leaked password alert with the same information. I tried to dismiss the alert and then the app started being in a constant mode of “connecting”. The app said that I was “safe” but the vpn was not “ON”.

I made contact with customer service and they told me to delete and reinstall the app which didn’t work. I sent them screenshots of my phone and provided the info they asked for. I haven’t heard from them and the app still doesn’t work. I canceled my subscription, no refund. Don’t waste your money!

I have used AVG since they came out off and on. I’ve probably sent them hundreds of customers. It seams now when you purchase something your still missing that certain something. Pay up again and its a feeling of why did they just not include that? They are not even in the top ten anti virus companies anymore. Thinking of changing which means I’ll probably be getting non USA service. But since my writing of this review they have been nice enough to get back to me very quickly and explain things which make total sense. Putting everything or even close to it would make a huge App and consume a lot of precious time and space. Lots of us don’t need even close to what all they offer. I’ll pay better attention when I order again. Thanks again guys at AVG.

So, protection is a great idea. However, when the privacy browsing is on. You cannot make any app work. I deleted it and IT KEPT THE VPN. Screwed everything.

Edit: I had it active while on WIFI at the house. I left and it went to LTE service. I had forgot to turn it off when I left. I tried to load an app and it didn't work, said connection issue. I realized it was still connected. Tried to disconnect and it would not allow me to. I was not able to view Facebook, safari or even send IMessages because of it. Don't know why. So I deleted the app since I was going to be gone a while. It still stayed connected...could not turn off through VPN settings on the phone or anything. Had to wait until I got home again a few hours later to disconnect it and delete. Then restart my phone to clear it.

I got taken by Norton and I’m a senior on Bennifits and my first month of Norton was a good price then when it came time to pay Norton charged me Almost $17.00 for the $$9.99 plan I had bought !I cancelled my subscription for the reason as I could not find an American based Norton to talk to and I had been scammed my account was hacked for$994.00 so I had to have protection for my phone! I was looking all over and found AVG and there is a paid version but They have a free one so as always if I go to un secure they automatically redirect me back to safety and and if they see anything suspicious they notify me so for free There’s no possible way to go wrong with FREE OR VERY REASONABLE PRICE AND ID RECOMMEND MY AVG TO ANYONE I KNOW YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH AVG AND FREE.. I have attempted at least 6 times to get someone to resolve the issues I have with AVG. I know if you receive less than 5 stars, management would want to know why.
1). I purchased from the Ft Meade Exchange a Military Appreciation purchase your AVG TUNEUP ($19.95) 1 year 5 devices - April 6. I opened the box (to get the activation code). I had no idea that the AVG security program I purchased that covered me until today included TUNEUP. So I tried to return it to the Army Exchange where I purchased it and I couldn't because I opened the box. I returned home tried to install it hoping it would extend it a year since I already had it.. instead it didn't allow me to get the year extension.
2) I needed to get a link for how to instructions to install my new 2 year 5 devices (iPhone, Dell Chromebook, Samsung Tv, Samsung Notebook and my Desktop computer)
Once I get these 2 issues addressed I will revise the 3 star rating I just gave you. I really don't understand why I have not gotten the support necessary to resolve them. Your customer service years ago for me, is why I left my other Internet provider. Please don't disappoint me. Carlitta

Sometimes it’s not easy to find the words you want to say about something that you find unique. This app I find is one of those times today the Technology changes so fast that it’s hard for software to keep up with the Technology changes that transpires in seconds minutes and every moment of the day! I thank the Developer for keeping up with those changes that keep you myself and our family safe. It’s easy for me to say this perhaps being I don’t have to program the software! It takes a great deal of time hard work and a lot of Headaches! The Developer of this app does this for you myself and our family! How do you know? Look at the number of updates that are being made! Then look at the aspect that this app really does protect all of us! Yes Technically as you read this things are changing the people who invented the words Scam Fraud and Hackers are out there trying to get to us! I thank the Developer for all His Hard work in stopping that from happening! I hope if you took the time to read this you will Download and truly try this app! What do you have to loose if you don’t? Maybe a lot more than the price of this app! Thanks again to the Developer for His,or Her hard work I truly tip my Hat to you. Thanks

After i paid for this app, it ran scans and told me, my wifi was full of viruses. It ran for about a min and said everything was safe and working properly again. But the next day... i wasnt able to use the internet my Apple stuff didnt open and said i had a session open somewhere else and i needed to close the only one i just tried to open then it locked up my phone till i closed the app. It messed with my cell provider and even removed some one from my cell phone account and hide them from being able to be found on the phone and from my cell provider. My cell provider couldn’t see or do anything to help me. And every time i turned off my VPN ( this is were this app is at ) it turned itself back on as fast as I clicked off it turned back on. I literally had to fight it and as that is going on, i had to click the delete VPN and hope i got it before the app turned itself back on. I finally got one phone deleted and i restarted the phone and it was working good and my gf was back in my list of users. And my cell provider was able to see my phone and looked to make sure everything else was good. Then i needed to do the same thing with my 3 other phones. DO NOT GET THIS APP. ITS A SCAM AND A HORRIBLE THING TO BE PUT THROUGH. Couldn’t make calls or anything. I use to trust this company ( this app ) for my computers for about 10 years. So i though sweet a trustworthy app. I WAS SOOO WRONG. I DONT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL. If you do try it. Make sure you have a friend or family member ( someone not on your cell plan ) so you can use their phone to get help if you need it. Its been a few days since i wrote the top part of this review, but now my emails that the app wanted so it could check for password leaks... are getting a ton of spam now. I hardly got anything till after i put my emails on this app. Now i need to get new emails thanks to this one sharing/selling them to many other sites/places. I think the Apple should rethink letting this app be in their store.

Blocks your internet, prevents apps like Apple Music from working, and has such basic useless functions, Yahoo offers the same service thru Norton for a 3rd of the price and no internet issues. I thought this was an app to stop malware, completely misleading.

I scanned my phone. It said there was nothing wrong. Now my phone is unstable, I have to reboot multiple times per day and the phone doesn’t connect to the LTE network cleanly. messaging no longer works properly. Not very happy at all. about to uninstall the app. meh

It was a great app and VPN, until Wednesday 3/31. The new update made me unable to use any app that needed data or get online, I could only text and call until I deleted it. I would like to cancel subscription until this issue is fixed. I use an iPhone 11 for reference.

I canceled my subscription, yet I have gotten notifications that they are going to charge me.

And I went back through my apple ID and there was freaking no cancel button, (probably because I already canceled)
So, if I get charged this review will sit here, if it doesn’t, I will delete this.

I’m aware of AVG having been around for years. That being said, with reading user reviews here I am somewhat dismayed at the level of customer service by AVG. The responses are scripted & that doesn’t sit well with me. I’ve always viewed AVG as professional. This may be a game changer for me

So I got it first hours fine worked and when i connected to the vpn it just would say connecting error and when I tried to turn the vpn of it would just not turn off and i had to delete the app and how do I know it works because when I used the vpn and everything I got malware and i did not even get a email

I am getting emails continuously that saw I have many viruses and other problems. This protection hasn’t stopped this action one bit! I’m tired of it and feel I need to get some other virus protection and get rid of this one. Can you do. Ether or do I need to get other protection that CAN do the job right?

What a waste of time trying this useless junk.

After installing, I couldn’t access various things INCLUDING THE APP STORE.

After installing, my already slow iPhone was even slower.

I have no idea how this piece of garbage has even one positive review. Do people actually like when their phone is made worse?

This apps VPN is useless. Whenever I have it enabled, nothing I do on my device loads. If I search up something, it doesn’t load. If I open a streaming service like Netflix or hbo max, it doesn’t load. Anything that requires internet doesn’t load with their vpn. It’s when I turn off this vpn that things actually start loading normally.

Besides draining the batteries on both my iPad and iPhone, it wouldn’t let me print through my router to my wireless printer. I tried to temporarily disable it, but every time I switched the button to off, it turned right back on again. I don’t want to have to delete it every time I want to print something, so I’m just getting rid of it.

My service carrier offers more protection for no additional fee. I already have a top rated VPN that does more, for less money and Apple has new functions built into the latest iOS that eclipse anything AVG is offering. I want a simple antivirus program that I can run a scan of files on my device. It’s offered for Windows, MAC OS, and Android, why not iOS?

This use to be a simple app that had its small problems but ever since the updates it’s gotten slower taking twice as long to reconnect to the vpn everytime you open something and it basically freezes if you try using the new web monitoring feature it will make anything you do take minutes to open and actually connect to the internet so it was a useless feature for me.

I thought you guys were going to take care of this for me it’s not my fault that people are trying to sabotage my phone. That’s what I’m paying out to take care of. I’m not happy about this at all. I am a new customer and this customer is not happy. And this is how this is going to happen? You know I could just cancel my service to y’all and just let my phone die who cares.

It may have just been my phone but i do not recommend this to anyone. Within the first week of having it my whole phone went haywire. I couldn’t access apps that needed connections whether I had it or not. I couldn’t even text someone. This app was to protect my security yet did the opposite. For christ’s sake someone tried to log into my account in india. this app is corrupt!

Although I sent several messages to this company, they never answered me. Now my phone is turned off due to viruses and malware. To top it all, they charged me twice for the ultimate yearly rate of almost $60.00 each. I am definitely NOT HAPPY.
I am trying to get in touch with the company to get a refund for both orders. If you are looking at this package - DON’T DO IT!’

I downloaded this app and it immediately messed up my access to Etsy and I also could not access the App Store. I have the most current version of iOS on my iPad and I’ve never had problems with an app until I downloaded this one! I unsubscribed within an Hour after I downloaded, but I’m still having trouble accessing my Etsy stores. How do I get this horrible App off my iPad?!

I downloaded this app because I was concerned with visiting sites that may be unfriendly. I had a problem where I couldn’t remove unwanted website data and the normal removal tools did not work.
I subscribed for the two week Trail. Tried the app on adult sites and I couldn’t connect to anything. I unsubscribed and now I can’t even connect to the app support page. Anybody there reading this.

I subscribed yesterday and now I am receiving a boot call every 15 min. I called back some of these numbers and people are picking up the phone and telling me they never called me
My phone was working perfectly before I PAID for this service.

Now I deleted the app and the boot calls magically stopped.
I wonder how much information this app had stolen from my phone, in addition to my phone number.
