Associates Underwriting AUL Car Warranty

I paid $2, 600.00 for this warranty because they said it would cover my engine. FOUR times I called them and FOUR times they told me my engine was covered. Each time I had service to be done, they told the Service people my engine was NOT covered. My check engine light came on and was diagnosed as having misfires, requiring the piston rings to be re-ringed : DENIED. EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS IN MY PAPERWORK, THAT MY ENGINE WAS COVERED. THERE IS NO EXCLUSION FOR MY ENGINE. AUL Warranties are a JOKE. MY vehicle is still not fixed. I am so far past disgusted it is NOT FUNNY. I WANT MY ENGINE REPAIRED or REPLACED (Which would be the cheapest thing to do). I WANT AUL TO HONOR THE WARRANTY THAT I PAID FOR. (SILVER). These are the companies that would have fixed my car, if AUL hadn't told them my Engine was NOT COVERED.

I purchased a vehicle with a 3 month 3 thousand mile warranty and the dealer gave me a place that was supposed to honor the warranty but they never heard of aul.

Associates Underwriting aulcorp vehicle powertrain warranty

You will verify your contact until you are blue in the face with zero results. We bought a 2011 Chevy Impala and the warranty is with AULcorp. 5 months later the engine and transmission completely fail. I had to have my car insurance company tow the vehicle because AUL would not accept the warranty despite giving them all the correct info. They asked for verification and we send it. Next day asked for more verification and we send it. 1 week later they agree to tow the car to another place where it will get repairs. The repair place says the engine and transmission are a complete loss. Guess who all of a sudden needs more verification of the warranty that we've been making payments on. Their name is all over our warranty paperwork. Now they need verification from the dealership that we bought the car from. Basically, we went back up to the dealership so they can make copies of the paperwork we've already given AUL. Our contact also says we were supposed to get a rental car. So much for that! We've been 3 weeks without our car and without a rental car. This sounds like it will be going the lawsuit route very quickly. Avoid this company. It's nothing but a headache and you are paying for a contract that you will never be able to verify with them no matter how much of the original paperwork you have.

Associates Underwriting Vehicle repair warranty

I bought a AUL warranty from a good car dealership in Castle Rock, Colorado. I paid about $1600 for the warranty. I had the car a year and put about 1500 miles on it. I don't dive the car very much. I had a cylinder head failure on the right side. I took it in to the dealership I bought the car from and they started the work on the vehicle. They contacted AUL and it took over Two Weeks for them to approve the repair. AUL said that the warranty had a $3000 max, but nowhere in the contract it stated that. They finely agreed to pay the bill and the vehicle was repaired. Almost three weeks later I got my car back. Two days later I found oil on my driveway and took my car back to the dealership. They said that when the waive spring came apart it cracked the valve cover and that's where the oil leak was coming from. The dealership contacted AUL for authorization for that repair and they said it was caused by the cylinder head coming apart the valve cover was not covered under their warranty. I spoke to a supervised at AUL and he said that it was not listed as a warranty part on the contract it would not be covered. I asked him if a bolt is not listed on the warranty and it was damaged and unusable due to the engine failure would that be covered. He said no. Only the parts listed. I bought a powertrain warranty and I asked him is the valve cover part of the engine and is the engine part of the powertrain? He would not answer me. I asked him several times and he still would not respond. He told me that I was being unreasonable and rude and I was treating him and his company because I was thinking about contacting a lawyer and he ended the call. I have to pay $350 to get my car back because this company will not honor their contract!

Associates Underwriting Warranty

I've only had this car for 8 months. I brought the Estate Warranty. I had problems with it withing two weeks. I took it to the shop to get fix and they realized that the timing was bad alone with other stuff with the engine. The auto shop had to go around and around with them. They told them it need a new engine in it, but they refuse to to do it and only changed the timing on it. They auto shop told AUL it was going to come back and bite them. Well come December I have it back at the auto shop and I need a need engine and they are refusing to fix it. I'm in the process of taking them to small claims court.

Associates Underwriting They refused my claim

I was completely denied my claim, after having bought a 2003 VW Jetta, and having the fuse block go out on it. Didn't notice anything really dramatically different, until March 2015. That's right less than two months of having the vehicle. until the vehicles thermostat went out and caused a hose to leak. When I took it to a mechanic in Morrison Colorado, AUL Insurance flat out denied my claim and told me NO, that they wouldn't fix the problem that it was caused by the electrical problem and that wasn't covered by their insurance. I agreed to pay for the fuse block and asked them to pay for the thermostat and hose which was over $900.00 to fix. They refused! Why in the heck did I pay $1700.00 for that "Special" insurance when they wouldn't even try to pay for such damage? VERY UNHAPPY!

Associates Underwriting Fraud

We purchased a used car in March 2015. By April 2015, the engine blew. The dealer, whom we are suing, made us take out an extended warranty with AUL warranty company. They were to cover the $2000 for a used motor to be installed. After bring the car to three mechanics, the insurance company denied the claim, claiming that we drove around without oil. Not one mechanic stated that, and in fact all three wrote me receipts stating that the rod inside the engine went bad. Nothing to do with lack of oil. AUL refuses to honor the warranty coverage. This is fraud

Associates Underwriting Rip off company

RE: AUL Service Contracts
1250 Main St
Suite 300
Napa, CA. 94559
Claim # X3727013
http://www.aulcorp.com/

I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how a business named AUL Extended Warranty Company, does business by ripping consumers off. I am hoping you can help me, or at least point me in the right direction.

I am writing to EVERY major portal I can find and will let them know of my experience with this shady company.

In March of 2015 I purchased a car from Spanky and Frankys Auto Sales in Media PA, (our court date with them is July 18, 2015), for our son who turned 18 and had saved enough to purchase a vehicle at $3990. At the time of purchase we also bought an extended warranty with AUL that Spankys talked us into. It supposedly covered 18 months, or 6000 miles.

By April of 2015, my sons car needed a new motor. Spankys told us not to panic, that we are covered. After three mechanics looked at the car, AUL was contacted and was told that the motor would need to be replaced. Aul in turn told the mechanic that he would have to rip the motor apart and they could send someone out to inspect it.

THIS IN ITSELF IS RIDICULOUS! Not one of the three mechanics have EVER heard of this.

On June 2, 2015 my mechanic called and stated they denied the claim because there was no oil in the motor. Well the fact is, three mechanics are willing to testify in court that there is NO WAY this could have been the case and that there was in fact oil in the motor. The mechanic that broke the motor down stated that he told the AUL Representative at his shop that the thing had sludge in the motor and there is no way he can say what AUL is stating. We have also taken many pictures.

AUL Warranty took our money and when we needed them they lied. This is NOT the way an insurance company is supposed to work, nor is it legal for them to deny a claim when three mechanics (from three different shops) have all looked at this car and stated the same thing.

I have also found many complaints against this company for the same exact reasons and different ones. http://www.bbb.org/greater-san-francisco/business-reviews/extended-warranty-contract-service-companies/aul-corporation-in-napa-ca-13815/complaints

Here is a list of many other complaints against AUL Warranty.

How can you allow a company like this to STEAL the publics’ money? They aren’t warranting anything, they are STEALING money.

Associates Underwriting Not honoring warranty

In 2012 I cosigned with my daughter on a 2004 Volkswagon Beetle and due to the age of the car we were urged to purchase AUL under the hood warranty. On 12/05/14 the antifreeze light came on and immediately the engine started smoking. It was towed to Dolan Toyota-Scion where the car and warranty were purchased and we discovered the antifreeze hose was cracked and blew the entire motor. AUL would not honor any of this! They said the hose that caused it was not covered! Talk about a nasty loophole! This company is a rip-off and I am taking it to the BBB immediately. We are stuck with a blown engine, car payment, and a dealershilying about the warranty!

Associates Underwriting Refused repair coverage

Bought a 2007 Mini Cooper that now has to have engine work due to a timing chain tensioner failed. Vehicle is at the Mini dealer and their techs have shown the rep the faulty part, however because I am an able bodied human male that can change his own oil at the required times they refuse to cover a part that failed that has nothing to do with oil. This warranty IS NOT worth the paper it's printed on. DO NOT buy a warranty from this company they will find every reason not to cover repairs!

Associates Underwriting Warranty Does NOT Cover Drive train

I bought a used RV and was sold a Drivetrain Warranty. I bought the warranty for $1, 500.00. My RV broke down in another state, stranding my entire family. We had to get a hotel, rent a car and leave the RV at a dealership for repair, ending our vacation.

The warranty specifically excludes the broken part of the drivetrain from coverage. Therefore, the warranty does not cover the drivetrain. It is not a Drivetrain warranty if it does not cover the entire drive train. BEWARE, THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH WHERE THE TITLE OF THE WARRANTY SAYS ONE THING, "DRIVETRAIN WARRANTY" AND THE ACTUAL COVERAGE EXCLUDES ESSENTIAL PARTS OF THE "DRIVETRAIN."

Associates Underwriting Non payment

I call in on 07 / 08 / 2014 and spoke to a customer service rep from aul. I completely gave them the diagnosis of my car and the parts description and part number. The rep told me under my coverage the parts was covered. I went to a mechanic who didnt want to deal with aul because of the nonpayments he already had issues with. So i paid him out of my pocket and he call the claim in and now they are staying the parts are not covered. They are the wrost and i promise they will not get away with this. All scott louis do is avoid calls from the customers. If you need a extended warranty please consumers dont buy one from aul.

Associates Underwriting Won't pay

I bought a used 2002 vw passat. Eight, eight days later, yes, eight it was towed to the vw mechanics where it sits now, 13 days later! Aul will pay $3, 000. 00. The mechanics say it will take $4, 500. 00 to fix it correctly. These mechanics are rated # 1 in my state (Mo) , have been in business for years, and they know what they are talking about. As a matter of fact they said they have never experienced anything like what aul is trying to do to me. They remain in constant contact with me. I wish i could say the say for aul. We need to email your state attourney and your state's consumer help folks and corbon copy in these aul crooks. This is the email i have for aul; [protected]@aulcorp.com
We should not have to take this! And i intend not to!

AUL, the service people I have dealt with all day are nice BUT the warranty SUCKS BIG TIME! I have a transmission that is leaking and they ok'd $5, 000 for my trany to be fixed. The catch is they will not repair the one in the car but is willing to replace it w/a USED one! If I want the one in the car fixed I have to pay for the parts. This does not make any sense to me at all, why not fix the one in it? DO NOT GET THIS WARRANTY it is a RIP-OFF! My Transmission guy is as puzzled as I am! The used trany is $1, 200, I still have $ to work with what is the frickin' problem? The used car people that sold me this vehicle a little over a month ago are just as shadey as the warranty they sold me! What in the hell is this world coming to? How can we screw you is all I have heard during this catastrophe! Buy a new car, will it be any better? God Bless my transmission mechanic he is the only one, so far, that hasn't screwed me! This is not over yet!

I agree with most of these people and have been investigating the AUL company warranty issues as i have one. I have not used it but when i purchased it there was nothing said about pre existing issues or maintenance schedules or records prior to my ownership of the vehicle. When they sell the warranty contract it is all about " your covered" "peace of mind" but i see ( as i suspected) that there are grey areas and the whole thing is worded to their advantage to be interpreted anyway they choose. i also see its not PAID/ they pay what they feel like paying/ or set limits on what they will pay for specific repairs and even dictate what parts will be used. This should all be informed to the warranty purchaser so the individual can be aware of how these companies operate. We as consumers also should have a legal source for dealing with fraud and abuse by such businesses and to keep them honest. I am surprised they are allowed to operate with all this : renaming vehicle parts and disavowing coverage and dictating cost of repairs and placing blame where there is none. I fortunately have made a living my whole life and never have i had to work in an industry that would make me daily compromise my integrity. If they do not want to pay? then do not sell contracts on old vehicles . If you have no intention to deliver for the unexpected ? then do not promise you will. If they try to cheat me out of what i see in the contract? I will enlist every legal means/ media attention/ fraud agency/ inspector general/
you name it/ until i get satisfaction or my money back.

My daughter just purchased a 2006 Pontiac G6. the electric power assist went out which is covered by the drivetrain. It's a recall which had been already fixed once. But the mechanic used the module word at the end of that part so they say it's not covered as it is electrical. (AUL warranty) Well the thing is, that this module or power assist is the whole power steering control without it you cant drive it as it's locked up. My grandson coming onto the freeway by on ramp that has a 90 degree turn all of a sudden the steering wheel locked up and went straight into the gravel area, thank god was there. I drove by it the other day and he locked those brakes up and burned some rubber. This crap with electrical steering, electrical transmission's and I'm sure there are more electrical this and that's that I haven't heard about yet. It's all about the name game or maybe word game. Gotta make sure you say it right or it wont be covered. Definitely filing against these guys and GM. This is considered a safety issue. Someone needs to pay.

Purchased an extended warranty plan for $3, 500. I paid for every option available, including the enhanced electrical policy. They denied an electronic module that controls the blinkers, gas gauge, and hazard lights claim. They denied the claim due to some corrosion on the wire. The module is inside the rear quarter panel of my ML350..This is a classic case of a perfect warranty scenario.. No where in the contract did it state it would not cover any electrical component due to corrosion or whatever reason they deem necessary to deny the claim. I was told everything was covered with only a $100 deductible. When the service adviser called me AUL He told me they would not pay for anything, and they have the right to deny ANY claim. Very RUDE and basically only left me the option to sue them in small claims court. I was very courteous and respectful on the phone, however the representative that called me was very cynical and rude. A complete rip off company.. Extended warranties are for peace of mind in case the out of ordinary malfunction or repair happens to your vehicle. I realize they all have some restrictions but in my case purchasing the enhanced electrical policy that cost more should cover an electronic component that no one can access or knows exist.

I also purchased a warranty Contract back in July 2014 on my 2008 Mini Cooper. I recently had my car in the shop due to a timing chain that needs replaced. Thinking that Im good with having a Warranty I get a phone call from the dealership saying they wont cover my repairs due to me not honoring the contract. Meaning the Maintenance wasn't done oil changes every 4000 miles or 4 months . Well having a Mini Cooper we know there every 10, 000 miles with oil change. So that's where they got me on not covering the repairs needed. They would not budge and cancelled my contract . Im waiting for refund of course they will Pro rate it. I talked to 2 different customer service reps . Both were not helpful .. Horrible company .. Beware..

I bought a 2011 Chevy Impala from a Chevy dealer a little over a year ago and purchased an extended warranty from them at the time, however; they failed to tell me it was an after market warranty which turned out to be AUL. No problems with the GM warrentty when I needed work done but this AUL warrentty is not number to bumper as the dealer indicated when I bought the vehicle. I am absolutely furious that I paid $2255 and that was not what I wanted. When I recently took my car in because there was air coming through the window when it was up that was when I found out that I had not purchased an extended GM warrenty but instead it was AUL. They covered nothing and I ended up with a bill that I had not expected. The dealer has not heard the end of this yet.

as a dealer selling this warranty I have been very satisfied with their claims rate. You should always have a car inspected by your personal mechanic and do some research before you buy any model of car or truck you may be interested in. As selling car dealer I do my best to stay away from problematic cars.

I was reading the threads really a LS Lincoln ? The Jaguar is a suck ### car nothing but problems. Range Rover is a total piece of crap. 2003 Durango, dude Google that truck for problems you would of never purchased it. That goes for any of you dummies that bought the cars you purchased or failed to have them independently inspected on your own. The only car in this thread that I do take chances on would be the F350 as long as its not the 6.0 and if it is the 6.0 make sure it has the modification done to the engine already. From time to time I will by the Lincoln LS but only in the V8. The 6 cyl has isues to many for me.

In December of 2011, I purchased a 2006 Sonata from Cars for less in Mesa/Apache Junction Arizona, along with a $1500.00 warranty through AUL. 6 Months later the car was paid off with the warranty from AUL still in tact. In March of 2014 I took my car in to Horne Hyundai for the recall on the passenger seat belt. They found no faults, but while there I had them take a look at my passenger side front, as it was making funny noises. They repaired it, and I was told it was almost $300.00. I said "Wait, I have a warranty, with AUL" The repair shop call AUL to get it the authorization to get the lower control arm bushing repaired. It was all good. BUT when the technician started the car, he heard a "Clattering" upon start up, turned out to be the timing belt tensioner. I said well, call AUL and see if they will fix it. They had to send out a "Adjuster" to make sure that is what it was, and then they authorized repair of it. I was overjoyed to have my car back the next day, BUT I still heard the clattering upon start up. 3out of 5 times, so we took it back and they AGAIN, had to call out AUL to see what the problem was. THIS time it was the engine, according to the "Adjuster", and they authorized fixing the car. They replaced the engine with a super nice referbed engine. I got my car back 3 days later, absolutely thrilled with the engine, no clattering on start up, just HAPPY! All this happened between March and April. I was so tickled that I had my warranty with AUL, and now an additional 12000 mile 12 month warranty with Horne Hyundai, (on the motor) feeling so appreciative that if something did go wrong now, I am totally covered. NOT!
I took my car down to Horne Hyundai today [protected] to have the drivers side upper control arm bushing, repaired, as I knew that I had the warranty still on my car for another 5 months. ONLY to find out that AUL had cancelled my warranty BECAUSE I had used up the AGGERGATE LIMIT Section 8 part Z in the service contract. I am so baffled at AUL for cancelling me. Apparently I was cancelled because my car's repairs had exceeded the limits of the AGGREGATE. I was told that my car was worth according to the NADA $6775.00 and all the repairs done to my car were in excess of that.
#1) I purchased my car from a used car lot. No problem there, as I got the entire car history on it, and it used to be a rental car. We all know what happens when you get a rental now, don't we?
# 2) It was owned by someone else after being a rental car, and was traded in, which is how the car lot I got it from acquired it.
# 3) Why didn't AUL have the common courtesy to inform me that I was cancelled due to having spent so much on repairs?
They didn't have a problem taking my $1500.00 up front, and I didn't have a problem with it until now.
I have NEVER been so mad at a company for the silly Bull crap of being cancelled because "I went over my limit on repairs" I did call them and spoke to supervisor "BEN" who was just as much of a jerk as the entire company. I explained to him, #1 when the adjuster went out to authorize repair of the timing belt tensioner, why didn't he find the issues with the motor? his answer, .."Because the shop assured us that repairing the timing belt tensioner would fix the problem" REALLY? We all know that when it comes to repair shops, hole in the wall or big name companies, they are in it to make money. Just like these ###S! So to whom so ever does by a car with the option to get a warranty with AUL, ..think again. Nothing but a bunch of PREDITORS! and if you have no option but to get a warranty with them, ..PLEASE do your homework, be wise and don't let them pull any BULL on you!
