On Thursday the 11th of March 2020, around 1.00pm. My daughter entered Hungry Jacks & bought a burger. Eating into the burger a fake nail was found inside the burger. It was brought to the Managers attention his name was John Sun. My daughter explained what she had found & had asked for another burger. John obliged & gave my daughter another. My daughter asked for the burger to put in a bag to take away. John said it was ok, 1 of the girls ( staff ) took the burger away & after 10 plus minutes of waiting my daughter asked what was going on. John then accused my daughter, putting the fake nail in the burger herself. No evidence was found that my daughter had done what she was accused of. No video footage was shown nor any another staff member made comment. My daughter then asked for a refund & that was also refused.
I don't appreciate John as a Manager, accuse my daughter without any evidence. My daughter was made to look quite foolish & was embarrassed with customers & staff looking at her. My daughter did make comment to John, that staff were not wearing gloves when she entered the store. Gloves were seen to be worn after the compliant was made.
I do not know what your Manager John thought what my daughter would gain by placing the nail in the burger yourself. She did not finish the burger & then ask for another. She bit into the burger & found the nail.
I would appreciate that Hungry Jacks or John Sun formally apologise to my daughter. If not I will take the matter further, which I hope I do not have to do. I also advise that your Managers attend some further training on how to deals with genuine customer complaint's. My email address is [protected]@outlook.com

Lou Rotondo.
