had an insurance claim August 16th. The gal that processed it said if I needed more time to return the phone, to just call; otherwise they will charge $30 (NOT $300!) if the old phone isn't returned.

I've had one headache after another trying to get the contents from old phone over to the new one. And STILL HAVEN'T been able to. I need to transfer Sensitive documents, misc. The photo dept at Wal Mart couldn't retrieve what I needed off the old phone even. He tried 3 different ways.

I went to Verizon in Billings (an hour drive for me, one way), and they wanted $30 to do it, which was [censored] because all they do is get the phones to "talk to each other" with the apps and then the Rep LEAVES (which I saw them do with an old couple, and THAT Rep even said (to the Rep I was talking with( that he was "going to lunch" while THEY waited for the phones to finish).

The "Smart Switch App" wouldn't download to my old phone. It's supposed to be free but I was asked for my cc. Hesitantly, I put in the cc info so I could get this done and return the old phone. Instantly, I get a fraud alert. They tried charging me $39.99.

Now my cc is blocked. That was LAST WEEK right before the Holiday! Then the Bank called me and said they "forgot to print the new cc" for me so it's delayed. I JUST got my new cc today, Sept. 6th!

I called the # that was given by Asurion in their text to me, reminding me to return old phone. No one answered. After 6 min, I hung up. I don't have all day to wait on call when no one is answering.

I got on the Asurion/Verizon page only to be told by the chat room rep that I have to call Asurion. So again...wasted more of my time.

Today, I see now that Asurion will bill me, not $30, but $300! If I don't return the old phone. I called Verizon Rep (named Ron), to transfer me to the Insurance Dept. (Asurion), hoping this would get me thru to someone. I was on hold the 1st time for over 9 min. Then a 2nd time for over 18 minutes. Still no answer and my phone battery is below 60% and drains quickly. I called Verizon so they'd transfer me to an Insurance Claim Rep. because NO ONE answers the Asurion # they give.

All I need is until Sept. 19th, which is the next time I can make it to Billings so I can apparently pay those knuckleheads to transfer my contents so I can send the old phone back in. I run 3 businesses by myself and cannot just run to Billings, again 52 miles (one way) away from where I am (a one hour drive one way).

I have tried diligently to reach Asurion for this with NO success. I will NOT be paying $300 either since they're not even answering their phone and that's the only way to contact them.

Desired outcome: Give me until Sept. 19th. Do not charge me $300.
