I set up a payment with this company but due to financial issues I was already having, I had to cancel the payment and try and see when I could catch up at a later date. I cancelled the payment the day before the payment was supposed to process in which I received a text message stating the cancellation was successful and I was giving a confirmation number. When the next business day came which was a Monday, I checked my bank account and saw the payment still came out which caused me to be delayed with my gas bill as this was the reason I had to cancel the payment. I contacted Aspire, they proceed to tell me they put in for the refund and it would take 7-10 business days. They never told me it would be in the form of a check, fast forward I waited the 7-10 days and nothing. I called back, they then tell me the last rep did not put the request in so I had to wait another 7-10 business days. Those days went by I called back, they proceed to tell me the payment department declined sending me the refund as it was to cover a past due which I explained if I cancelled the payment then that means I cancelled the authorization for them to go on my account. They are refusing to give me back what was taken from me even though the company gave me a confirmation number of the payment cancelled. It was very unprofessional and they do get to take money and decide not to return it, that is theft.

Desired outcome: I would like my $106 back that was stolen

The aspire credit card is a scam. I applied for it in March of 2022, got approved for $1500. However, I never received the credit card, even though I was invoiced for "usage" fees. I called customer service on a monthly basis informing them that I never received my credit card, and I was being invoiced for "usage" fees. They guaranteed that they would send a replacement card within 10 business days, and not to worry about the late fees. However, every month I was being invoiced for fees and I kept paying the minimum due. I finally gave up and called them in the fall of 2022, to cancel my card. They apologized and informed me that they would cancel the card and any fees. This December, I received a letter of collection for $160.10 for past due fees. Stay away from this company!
