After making four phone calls and receiving no return calls, I discovered that the generator actually shipped directly from the factory and that AP Electric & Generators did not have any in stock. Despite this, they had already charged me for the generator on the first day of my purchase. To make matters worse, the generator did not actually ship until nine days later, and then it took an additional two weeks to arrive.
I must say that I was quite disappointed with this experience, and I would not recommend buying from AP Electric & Generators. In fact, I believe that it would be better to purchase from more reputable companies such as Amazon or eBay. Like many other reviewers, I would give this company a one-star rating and will not be making any future purchases from them.

I bought a generator from AP Electric & Generators' website, thinking that it would be shipped within the 2-3 business days that they advertised. Jannel, who I spoke to, only provided me with excuses and more excuses as to why my generator had not been shipped yet, or that it "will be shipped soon". I was getting pretty frustrated with the whole situation, so I decided to request a cancellation of my order. That's when Jannel suddenly claimed that it had already been shipped, but there was "no tracking number" to prove it. I mean, come on, if it was really shipped, shouldn't there be a tracking number? It just didn't make any sense to me.
Overall, I have to say that my experience with AP Electric & Generators has been pretty terrible. I would not recommend buying from this company, especially if you're in a hurry to get your generator. The customer service is just not up to par, and it seems like they don't really care about their customers' satisfaction. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy generator supplier, I suggest you look elsewhere.

As a result, I am unable to use my remote because I need an account and password to connect it. I could hire a local distributor to help me, but it would cost me an additional $300. It's frustrating that no one seems to care about after-sale service, especially since I didn't sell the equipment myself.
Overall, I would not recommend AP Electric & Generators if you're looking for a company that will assist you after you've made a purchase. Their lack of support and unwillingness to help has left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.

I had a really bad experience with AP Electric & Generators. I bought a Generac stand by generator from them and it had problems from the first month. I tried to get help from Generac, but their customer service people were really rude and unhelpful. So I decided to try AP Electric, since they advertise free lifetime technical support. I called them up and spoke to a guy named Dom, who said he could sell me the repair manual for $20.00. That's not technical support to me!
Finally, I got in touch with the managing partner, Chris Tessier. He said he would help me out, and I spoke to him a few times. He even gave me his cell phone number and email address. But now he won't answer his phone or email. I'm really disappointed, because I buy 10 to 15 generators a year, and if he won't help me, he definitely won't help a single purchase customer.
If you have any problems with your generator, don't let AP Electric lead you along until it's out of warranty. You should dispute it with your credit card company right away. Their customer service is terrible, and they don't stand behind their products.

So, I was in the market for a generator and after doing some research and talking to a Kohler factory tech, I finally decided on a particular model. The factory tech informed me that there are two versions of this generator, one that requires a minimum site clearance of 60" and one that is certified for 18". I wanted to make sure that I got the 18" certified version, so I called up AP Electric & Generators before placing my order.
The salesman I spoke with assured me that all generators can be sited at 18". However, this is clearly not true as the dimension drawings on their own website show a minimum 60" clearance. I have even seen other dimension drawings for the "same" unit that have the 18" clearance. When I brought this up to the Kohler factory rep, he informed me that only models made after a particular 'specification number' are certified for the closer distance.
I tried to explain this to the AP salesman, but he didn't seem to understand and eventually hung up on me. I was really disappointed with the customer service I received from AP Electric & Generators. It's frustrating when you're trying to make an informed purchase and the salesperson doesn't seem to know what they're talking about.

I recently made an order for a Generac 24KW from AP Electric & Generators in late Summer. They informed me that it would be shipped by the end of October. However, on the 26th of October, I decided to call them to check on the status of my order. To my surprise, they informed me that the generator would not be available until March. They suggested that I downgrade to a 2KW generator, which they had in stock and would ship right away. I agreed to the suggestion, and they informed me that there would be an additional cost of $180.00 due to a price increase. I agreed to pay the extra cost and waited for my generator to arrive.
However, when I called them today to inquire about the status of my order, they informed me that the 2KW generator would not be shipped until Spring. I was disappointed with this news, and I decided that I wanted the 24KW generator after all. The customer service representative informed me that there had been a price increase on the 24KW generator, and I would have to pay the new price. I reminded her that I had switched my order based on their suggestion, and they had promised to ship the 2KW generator right away. She replied, "Too bad," which left me feeling frustrated and angry.
I decided to cancel my order, and now I am waiting to see if they will refund the over $7000.00 that I paid for the generator. I am extremely disappointed with the service that I received from AP Electric & Generators, and I would not recommend them to anyone. It is frustrating to deal with a company that does not keep their promises and does not value their customers. I hope that they will improve their customer service in the future and avoid disappointing other customers like they did with me.

I had a really bad experience with AP Electric & Generators. Their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. I needed to buy some replacement parts for my Kohler generator, and I thought they could help me find the right controller for my unit. However, every time I called, they would promise to call me back, but they never did. I had to call them nine times before someone finally helped me.
I thought my problems were over when they told me which controller to buy. I ordered it right away, but when I received it, I could tell immediately that it was the wrong one. I called them to explain the situation, but they refused to take it back, even though it was never opened. I was really frustrated because I had to spend another $600 to buy the correct controller from somewhere else.
I will never do business with AP Electric & Generators again. Their customer service is terrible, and they don't seem to care about their customers at all. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Poor Customer Service and Damaged Products from AP Electric & Generators
This company, AP Electric & Generators, is not very helpful when it comes to damaged products. I received my order and there was a big dent in the front cover, but there was no sign of damage to the container. I contacted the shipping company, ESTES, and they asked if I signed for the item. When I said yes, they told me it was my problem. I then called AP Electric and they said the same thing. AJ and Tim in their generator division didn't seem to care about their customers at all. It's really disappointing.
I don't recommend ordering from this company. I had to pay $130 for a replacement front panel, which is really sad. I'm not done with this situation yet. I purchased through PayPal and American Express, and I plan to send them a complete review of AP Electric and ESTES Shipping. The Generac Generator is available from many other sources, so do yourself a favor and buy from someone else.

Warning: Do Not Buy from APE&G - Poor Customer Service and False Advertising
As a retired person who needs power at all times, I did some research on generators and decided to go with the Westinghouse 7500. I found it available for purchase on APE&G's website and was thrilled to see that it was in stock and available for immediate delivery. However, after receiving my order confirmation, I was disappointed to see that the estimated delivery time was 4 to 6 weeks.
After waiting for 4 weeks, I decided to call APE&G to check on the status of my order. They told me that it was on the ramp being loaded and would be shipped soon. However, when the generator didn't arrive and the tracking number didn't work, I called them multiple times to try and figure out what was going on. They told me that they were waiting for parts from China and didn't have a firm delivery date.
Frustrated with the delay, I went back on their website and saw that they had a dual fuel unit available for immediate shipment. They claimed that they physically checked and had it in stock. So, I decided to purchase it and paid an additional $100 for immediate shipment. However, when I checked the tracking number 24 hours later, it still wasn't working.
When I called APE&G to inquire about the tracking number, they told me that they had spoken to Westinghouse and that the original unit had been shipped. They then cancelled my new order and said that they would refund my $100. However, I am still waiting for that refund.
To make matters worse, APE&G now claims that they can't find my original order. This is extremely concerning, especially since I just found out that Westinghouse recently came out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy. I was never informed of this by APE&G.
What's even more frustrating is that APE&G is still advertising the same unit on their website as in stock and available for immediate shipment. This seems like false advertising and could even be considered fraud. It's clear that they are providing misinformation and deceit to their customers.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise against doing business with APE&G. Their lack of transparency and poor customer service is unacceptable.
Terrible Customer Service and Product Issues with AP Electric & Generators - A Warning to Buyers
I spent a whopping $7600.00 on products from AP Electric & Generators, and boy was I disappointed with the service I received. I purchased a soft starter for my air conditioning unit for $378.00, but upon installing it, the box fried the compressor on the unit. I immediately contacted AP electrical and informed them that I wanted to return it and that I wasn't looking for a refund on the compressor, just the soft start. However, they informed me that they couldn't provide a refund since the box was used unless Generac authorized it. I was so frustrated and didn't know what to do next.
So, I decided to contact Generac Corp, hoping they could help me out. Unfortunately, they advised that they can't do anything about it since they don't sell to the public. They advised that I would have to deal with AP electric where I purchased it from. I was so disappointed with the customer service I received from AP Electric & Generators. It was terrible! I wouldn't recommend buying from this company.
To make matters worse, I also had a delay in receiving my switch box after paying for it. AP electric failed to notify me that they were OUT OF STOCK at the time of purchase. I had to call them four times over a month's period trying to find out what was going on. The product finally arrived 30 days later! This delay caused a setback in my project, delaying it by a month and a half.
This company will take your money, but getting them to do follow-ups is a nightmare. They won't call you back, and it appears they won't accept any merchandise back if you have an issue, as in my case. You can buy the same products from other companies for the same prices. I was going to buy another 22kw from this company until this issue. However, I'm going somewhere else to get another generator.
I feel this company is geared more towards getting sales than customer service in the end. BUYER BEWARE! Do your homework and read reviews before ordering from this company. I wish I had done that before making my purchase.
