Anytime Fitness review: I would like to have my contract cancelled and money refunded.

I signed up with anytime fitness October 2021 for a one year contract. I spoke to the manager over the phone and he said he could sign me up right away. I am a college student and it has gotten hard for me to go to the gym and now I am paying for a service that I am not using. He said that I have to pay $500+ because my contract ends next year in October. I never signed any papers and he Never sent me my contract and I never got a chance to read/ go over the contract. This is frustrating and I will NOT pay for something I am not using. I suggest to never sign up with them. They are such a scam. Ridiculous! Worst business. I also feel unsafe at this gym and have been harassed by other gym members while minding my own business.
