10/27/2026; front desk ran two insurance and still charged a copay, one insurance was TriCare and the other was BCBS. 10/27/2026--Arrived at AFC Urgent Care for uterine bleeding. Was triaged and waited for the doctor. When Dr. Aldrich entered the exam room he asked for me to describe my chief compaint again. I explained that I had called a nurseline through Tricare for uterine bleeding that lasted 16 days, heavy cramping, and passing clots larger than a quarter. Dr. Aldrich positions himself on the opposite wall from me and asked about the abdominal pain and I explained it was a 10 the prior saturday and was now a 5-7. He asked, " what do you want me to do about it?" I was shocked and explained how the situation was an urgent issue that needed an answer. He stated, " It is probably just a UTI." I stated this pain was more than a UTI and I would like an answer to what is going on. He asked," Who sent you here again?" I stated, " The nurseline through tricare." He stated, "Well they don't know what we do here, we don't have anything here." I asked what I needed to do and he stated, " I can send you to Prattville Imaging tomorrow morning." I reiterated the nurseline stated this was an urgent issue and needed to be taken care of within the next 8 hours. He then stated, " I guess we can do a urine test." I then went to provide a urine sample and passed my IUD in their bathroom. I came out of the bathroom after providing the urine sample and told Dr. Aldrich as we were standing in the common area. I told him, "I passed my IUD." He stated, " Well you fixed it." The nurses and staff behind him were very shocked by his demeanor. He then began talking about my personal records in the open. I asked what I was supposed to do next as this had never happened to me before. He began discussing my personal information in the common area. I asked if we could return to the exam room and he said, " Sure." In the exam room he provided no additional information and I decided at that point I needed to go to the ER. I went to the front desk and requested all of my information and she stated they were still typing notes in and she would print it as soon as she could. I noticed in the notes he stated he referred me to the ER for an ultrasound but he did not refer me anywhere. He blatantly lied in my release notes. I was not directed to go to the ER and was not offered any emergency transport even though I had heavy bleeding.

Claimed loss: $28 co pay, emotional damages

Desired outcome: I would like my copay refunded, a formal apology from Dr. Lee Aldrich, a prompt response from AFC regarding the matter, and a reprimand for the doctor to include further professional development on women's healthcare.
