I have logged a compaint but it seems i get ignored. I got a mail on the 7th of November saying all documents are in order no outstanding documents. Just to find out on the 14th that the tax directive just got back. At first everything was there but now there is a problem. I have been parchment now i have to wait another 4 to 6 weeks. Nobody gets back to you. If you call they can't give you thie information i need like the tax deduction or the payout amount? The prosess justt gets longer and longer. But when I pay the provident fund you didn't have a problem taking my money it is easy to collect but when it comes to giving me my money then I get srung along. I am so tried of waiting. Can you I have an answer before end of business today

I have had my pension for nearly thirty years with them I moved overseas I am disabled and rely on my pension monthly. I send request to have my personal details changed 3 March, gave them all relevant supporting documents. I made numerous calls sent emails and had no joy from service provider had been lied to ignored and treated like an embicile . Leave messages but nobody gets back to you. When u call they put u on hold then drop the call every time they try to frustrate you and finally after all the suffering they put u through nothing is done I had to resort to losing my temper swearing and posting on social media out of desperation then I got Some ones attention . Imagine six weeks later and they still can't get the job done I am so disgusted . Be careful don't choose them as a business

I have submitted claims form in 2019 for my pension funds since 2022 and finally gave up because no one was giving me feedback.

i was traced again last year 2022 of which i have submitted all the required documentation since January i have been following up and whenever i follow up i will then be told that the matter was escalated to the team leader til today

May you kindly intervene as the matter ahs been dragging for too long

On the 7th of November I resigned from work they advised me that my claim will take 4 to 6 weeks for payment I called

them today and still cannot give me a proper feedback I am currently in a bad situation cause my last salary was in October now its December not knowing when I will receive my funds now they say they awaiting for back office how hard is it to give me my funds I am broke but I have money

I have been trying to get my funds transferred to a Metropolitan preservation fund since the last week of October 2022. Since received more than 7 emails saying the SARS tax directive has declined. I have made numerous calls a AF which I was told I need to contact SARS to find out why it has declined, which I did and hung on for more than 1h30 to get told the Fund name doesn't match. I have requested for a senior person to contact me and provide proper feedback as to what is going on ans still not received any calls thus far. It's now the 29th November and I received yet another email saying the tax directive is devlined again. What must a person do to get their funds from Alexander forbes. Starting to think this is a stalling tactic...

I am for the last 2 years on disbility for chronic peripheral neuropathy due to chemo and major depression. I have paid my medical aid since I have been boarded in full by myself.

For the last year I have also not receive and increase aswell. I see that as per yoyr advertising, people that are boarded gets 24 months where AForbes will pay the members medical aid and I quote "all contributions" . Why did I have to pay my medical aid in full ever since?

Absolutely Pathetic service - I've been with Alex Forbes for almost 14 years.

Worst firm to invest with - onboarding is great but after sales is pathetic for what was once a reputable and professional firm, they have decided to go in the same direction as the government and provide little to no support or service. Their managers lie and do not return calls. their only response on interaction is "we are sorry". they do nothing to improve their service or your experience, they have committed themselves to complete service failure.

So disappointing - how far this firm has fallen!

Alex Forbes - This is unacceptable! Today I get a copy pasted response via email of a mail that was sent to me in April - you have done NOTHING to assist me in sorting our the issues, if anything you have continued to show me that NO ONE has any idea about how to get their job done! The managers have absolutely no clue what is going on! The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing! Since the 13th of April I have been waiting for my funds to be paid out! You guys are so inexperienced and incapable of doing your day to day jobs? How? Are you not being paid a salary at the end of the day? Should you not be WORKING for that salary?

I'm in absolute shock!

I don’t even know where to begin because I have had it with Alexander Forbes. Every single time I have to claim my money I always have hassles. I have two pending claims with them and i have called them more than 40 times in the past month. Every time I call I get a different story from every consultant.
Firstly for the first 03 weeks i was told that my validation failed but was never told why the validation failed. Im not sure how i am expected to know what the Jargon that is used in the Alexander Forbes office means. I eventually figured out myself that the issue was that the surname on my id wasn’t the same as the on my banks statement (the last letter was different). I then went to the bank and had this rectified. On the 05th June 2017 I sent through the correct documents and called bank to confirm if the documents were received and receipt was confirmed.
Three weeks later Im being told that the payment has been rejected because the my surname is incorrect. After I had rectified and everyone confirmed that all is in order. Im not asking for a loan at Alexander Forbes, I am just asking for money that I really need because I don’t have a job at the moment and I have a family take care of. What angers me the most is the fact that there is no communication from the Alexander Forbes to me. I always have to pick up the phone and find out what is happening.
So can I please get my money because I need it and your unprofessionalism and procrastination is affecting my life in a very negative way.
