Air Mauritius Compensation for cancelled flight

Requesting compensation for canceled flight AF7965/MK0115 Dec 9, 2024 from Paris (CDG) to Mauritius (MRU) for two passengers. At the airport, gate agents provided a letter for the technical issue an advised I would receive 600 Euros per passenger for the inconvenience.
