AES Indiana For several weeks I have been in contact with the customer service department for AES regarding my usage report

For several weeks I have been in contact with the customer service department for AES regarding my usage report. I have noticed my usage has doubled, or tripled at times, when comparing to the previous year. I have had not major change in usage so this did not look right. I called and was told to have a maintenance person come to my apartment to check my amps and in the meantime unplug all unnecessary appliances, keep my thermostat at 75degrees and raise when I am not home, run the dishwasher as little as possible, and keep lights off when not in use in order to lower my usage. I have followed all of their recommendations and yet my usage per hour continues to increase. My maintenance team found no areas of concern as well. I had to demand a meter investigation as customer service maintained that my usage *** "looked normal." I called this morning (6/24) after learning that my usage has again increased despite every attempt and then some to follow their directions. I was told there was nothing they could do apart from connecting me to financial assistance. I requested a home energy assessment by AES directly and was told they do not offer to apartment residents as it is consider multi-family. AES is completely dismissing me and seem resistant at investigating further. I previously owned a 3bdrm home and my billing through Duke was never this high in the spring/summer. I am not an idiot. I am a educated woman with a family member who is a lineman for REMC who was baffled at my usage report.In addition to my struggles- my maintenance man that came initially disclosed having similar issues in an apartment he doesn't even live in- it is empty. He also reported numerous residents requesting similar assessments. Something is wrong with this situation and I have no clue where else to turn to have my voice heard.

I have been calling multiple times each time over 45 minutes each, never was able to reach anyone. Why is it so hard to get good customer service now a days.
