Add People / Add Media Group review: Misleading SEO services, poor results, and aggressive debt collection

I am a small business owner based in Ireland, and I contracted Add People Limited for their "Platinum SEO Managed Service" between December 2024 and May 2025. The total cost was approximately €7,000, partially funded by a business grant. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and ultimately harmful to my business.

Despite promises of a full-service SEO package — including expert optimisation, implementation, and content — none of the SEO work was actually implemented by their team. I was told, only after onboarding, that I needed my own developer to carry out their recommendations. This was never explained during the sales process or outlined clearly in the contract.

There was no improvement in website traffic or sales — I recorded just one sale in five months. Worse, a new SEO provider later discovered over 400,000 technical SEO errors caused or left unresolved by Add People. Only about half of these issues have been partially corrected so far.

I requested cancellation in April 2025, but Add People continued charging my card even after confirming receipt of my request. I had to involve my bank to block them. Despite all this, they handed over my personal data to a UK debt collection agency (Daniels Silverman), who began pursuing me for an additional £1,655.36 — even though the service was disputed and not delivered.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)

Trustpilot and other review sites

This has caused me financial loss, stress, and damage to my company’s online presence.

In my opinion, Add People Limited misled me about the scope of their services, failed to deliver what was promised, ignored cancellation requests, and then escalated the situation using aggressive and potentially unlawful tactics.
