Account Assure Insurance not paid in 2017

I paid for this insurance on my Children's Place credit card from January 19, 2017 to December 24, 2018. I started receiving disability in November of 2017 and turned in my papers from social security disability.
I thought this insurance covered my card balance if I became disabled because I paid fit it each month.
I received a notice in mail this month ( February 2021 ) that I am being sued for this balance which is $965.74.
My account I'd # is [protected]. My court date is March 17, 2021 and I don't know if I need to pay this because it was supposed to be covered by insurance

Desired outcome: Insurance to be paid on my account that was cocered

Account Assure Involuntary unemployment benefits

This company should be investigated at the highest levels. I have coverage on 2 of my credit accounts with them. Nowhere in their paperwork does it say that they consider teachers as 'seasonal' or 'temporary' positions and they will not pay. My campus closed due to their failure status, and I was laid off. This was verified with my state unemployment office, and yet this company wants to humiliate me even further by labeling me as 'seasonal' or 'temporary'. I have had no issues with my other credit account insurances with a different company. Do not take out their coverage!

Account Assure Denial of benefits due to unemployment

I filed for benefits under the Account Assure program offered under the Comenity Bank due to unemployment. They denied me benefits stating that being an educator is considered a seasonal job and, as such, am not covered for unemployment. I lost my position due to Covid and therefore, became unemployed receiving a minimal unemployment benefit that would be considered below poverty level. They just want your money and then make every excuse not to pay out on it. Has anyone ever heard of being a teacher a seasonal job? They have reached their all time low. If this was the case, then it should be specifically listed in their information before one goes and continues making payments across several credit cards and unknown to the benefactor, that payments will not be made out due to unemployment because, apparently to them, an educator position is deemed seasonal work. Shame on them and their business policies that they follow. They need to be exposed and all educators, please take notice in case you are currently making payments for this "Account Assure" which isn't much of an assurance.

I had a similar experience. I'm absolutely livid right now. They are pure scammers. I was terminated from my job. The reason that the company gave was for "performance." I'm of course appealing this for so many legitimate reasons. I live in a right to work state and although they don't need a reason, they have to have some legitimacy to firing me. Account Assure denied "my claim because I was terminated they wrote in the denial letter due to" willful or criminal misconduct." I was floored. To indict that I'm some sort of criminal for being fired is horrific and highly insulting.

The contract reads that the separation has to be involuntary. I think that they are playing semantics so that they can collect and not pay up. I had this account for three years through Comenity bank and never missed a beat in paying them on time and now I find out that this company is simply a scam organization. So it's a damn if you do and a damn if you don't with them.

I'm not one to just eat crap so I'll fight this to the top of the company and beyond if I have to. I can't sit by and allow anyone to take advantage of me.

Account Assure should be investigated by Federal officials.
Do Not, Repeat Do Not sign up for this option.

Unemployed for 6 months due to Covid.
Sent 3 times a copy of unemployment insurance payout along with Warn letter from employer
Uploaded these documents via website and also emailed these documents.
They kept coming back with never received documents or another loophole.
Frustrated with this, finally requested a cancellation and to not further charge me for this worthless product

More concerned with charging you every month until a claim arrives not very helpful at all.

Account Assure The plan itself is a scam

So I have had a CC with Comenity Bank and have been paying account Assure for over 10 Years roughly $40 a month for essentially involuntary unemployment. They promise to take over payments in the event you lose your job involuntarily. Welp the biggest global pandemic to hit our era and I lost my job and income and was placed on furlough. My furlough was extended twice for a total of 5 months, it wasn't until after the third month that I filed a claim for benefits. Yup you guessed it claim denied at the time of loss I was a furloughed. Temporary, seasonal, contract and furloughed employees are not eligible. I have literally paid almost $5000 to your company and you cannot help me with $36 for 5 months: This is the worst customer service and product you could offer. You are literally stealing my money to find a loophole to deny me. Especially in this time and this pandemic you choose to be follow terrible business habits. I have never been so appalled by a company that sets out and claims to be there when you need. I hope you find yourself in a lawsuit again and are forced to close. Liars and thief's!

Account Assure Service

My god I've been paying for a service for over 2 years because of the COVID19 situation Ive been unable to get in contact with my former employer and these people refuse to process my claim. To think in a situation like that they would be more thoughtful to people needs. I sent all my unemployment pay stubs to them and they still refuse. This is the biggest regret in my entire life.

Hi! I had the same issue. A customer service rep told me that proof of previous income in the form of pay stubs for 2 months prior to job loss and/or a bank statement with direct deposit info for those months (make sure your name is on it), is sufficient for proof of job instead of that section for the job to fill out. It took me MONTHS to get themt to pay out, but they had to back date to when I filed and after 4 months they finally paid out in full. Good luck, and don't give up!

Account Assure Loss of income benefit

Months due to coronavirus. I began the lengthy unemployment process on furlough - well, low
And behold account assure doesn't cover furlough because they don't consider that as unemployed. Umm.. What?.. If that doesn't count as unemployed than tell that to my dwindling bank account.
You have to present information that you are receiving unemployment - no problem - I have that paperwork because, oh yea! I am unemployed! They "revised" their payout program and recently added the word furlough last to the list of cases they don't protect. I'd love the statistics on how much they have actually paid out because it seems they condescend people into signing up for the service than withhold the benefits and find the loophole with each benefit application to not cover the loss of income

I am consultanting an attonery to look at my situation... the lack of communitation and the lie they claim on their automation. At the time of you signing on they didn't say they didn't cover furlong? Well Im unemployed and they keep sending me the same day form without explanation.

Account Assure Insurance

The account assure insurance is a wast of time and money. I had the account assure for years and never used it till the corona virus hit the USA. They do not accept the unemployment benefits letter they want your h. R from your job that layed you off when everyone is laid off. They are unreasonable company and will not have any consideration for the pandemic making it impossible to complete any paper work "they" need!

Account Assure Insurance coverage

I was laid off from my job 0n March 17 2020 because of COVID 19 and began the process of filing a claim to get my account paid and its almost a month later and I'm still receiving letters stating they need more information. I paid my premiums on time monthly and don't feel as thou I (anyone) should have to jump through hoops to have their account paid. I thought that this insurance was provided as a service in case you did get laid off or had some type of financial hardship. This has been the most unsetting process for me.

Account Assure Credit card insurance

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I reached out to Account Assure because my business is considered non-essential. I've been paying their fees for months. My balance is under $100! Do I believe this Account Assurance is a scam. Yes! They take your money, but in a crunch, they don't come through! What's the sense in continuing to pay for this service?

Account Assure Payment

I recently temporarily lost my job to the Coronavirus Crisis. I have been unable to file for unemployment because I can't get through and also my company will be covered under the Paycheck Protection Plan. Account Assure is refusing to pay saying I need to show proof of unemployment denial or register with an employment agency. Do Not use this Company. They Will NOT Pay.. RIP OFF

Account Assure false claims about providing a services for payment of credit cards

Yes I would like to complain about Account Assurance. I have been paying for this service for over 10 years I have never used it. I had a stroke last year and I filed a claim seems like I can never get them all the information they need no matter what I send. All they say is as soon as we get the information requested and it is considered we will contact you. But until then continue to make your normal monthly payments. Of course as I suspected they want the payments made so that they continue getting their part of the PIE. Meanwhile I go on believing that they will come through. I am going to cancel this service and report this matter to the proper authorities. Since I have read these reviews and complaints I see I am not alone in my situation. Something needs to be done about this company. It would be nice to get a refund but that's a pipe dream...

Account Assure credit card/account assure

My account with VS since 2012. Paying the bill but the balance seems to always be the same. I call to find out why and was told part of my payment is going to account assure. I'm like... what is that? Insurance. Had no idea VS fine print when I signed up according to them I opt into some kind a money protection... Really? How come I'm just being told after 7 yrs? Never got a mail from them. Just been taking my money.. A total SCAM set up by VS and Comenity bank! Total Robbery!

They've been charging my card for the past four years $20 a month. I called one [protected] and complained. They said they could only give me back 6 months, $120 back on my card. I just called tonight because they said they would submit a claim for the rest and they haven't heard anything I have to call back in 10 days. They submitted another claim 😡😠🤔

Account Assure account assure

I sent in all of the information requested; unemployment benefits, and also the paperwork for my lay-off. They said that I could not receive account assure because I am in college and cannot work! How does that make since!? I can not pay this account due to lay-off and now they won't even acknowledge the account assure benefit that I have signed up for. They send me emails not answering my question, but giving me irrelevant information. They then stretch the issue out for months they can stack more money and late fees on the account just to deny your account assure.

Account Assure account assure with petland credit card

I never signed up for or agreed to getting Account Assure, but am still getting charged for it. Shortly after getting my Petland credit card, I got a phone call trying to convince me to sign up for Account Assure. I kept saying that I DO NOT WANT IT, and the lady on the phone kept replying with "okay well I'm gunna go ahead and sign you up". I repeatedly told her NO, but apparently I got signed up for it anyways, even though I did not agree to this, didn't sign anything, and was very adamant about the fact that I DID NOT want Account Assure!
I would like all of my money that they took refunded and I want to CANCEL my membership that I DID NOT sign up for.

Account Assure fraudulent charges

I never enrolled in account assure. I have reported this company to the BBB and also filed a consumer protection complaint. this company is a fraud and I want my charges reversed. I also call almost every day and get the same scripted response from the customer service reps. they always say there are no other supervisors to speak to but if you call back, you'll get a different supervisor...so apparently there are more supervisors there, they just don't want to help you.

I NEVER signed up for this garbage and I just realized why my payments haven't been going down
I finally called it after YEARS of paying for this apparently.
I where missed a payment
I will be contacting VS and account assurance and asking for my dam money back!
I could have been paid this off! I will be closing my account!
It's like I was making $5 off at time!
They enrolled me without my permission?

Account Assure account assure - victoria secret

Hello,
I applied for a angel card in 2015 and my limit was $350.00 I was paying it off and didn't understand why my balance went to $750.00 Victoria Secret stated it was because of account assure. I contacted account assure and they want remove the fees. They are stating they are insurance for my credit card. They keep updating my credit report stating I am not paying them. I have disputed this so many times, sent emails to Victoria secret and no one is responding. Account Assure keeps stating a manager will return my call but no one will return my call. I do not know what to do at this point, I have tried everything at this

Account Assure account assure benefits

I signed up for benefits to get the promotional gift card. I thought "hey, that's a good idea, you never know what could happen in life and plus I get a gift card out of it." Fast forward, I am unable to work due to medical condition and called Account Assure to verify benefits. They could not help me as my address on file does not match what I told them. I have only lived at this address and received account assure documents at this address. I have no idea why any other address would be on file. They said they will submit to their team to address the discrepancy and update address. I called back to cancel Account Assure benefits and was told again my address was not what they had on file and they would not be able to cancel my benefits due to this issue. Now after reading all of these complaints signing up for Account Assure not only was a waste of time and money but is a total joke and fraudulent. I do not recommend anyone fall into this trap.

Account Assure comenity bank credit card

Lost job few years back involuntary layoff. Contacted the card issuers an yet to have hear back from them on the updates. Now it sits on my credit report. I've been trying to resolve this for going on 3 years now so I can figure out how to move forward with the process an get all this taken car of. Customer care puts me through though services but seems to be wrong one or the ones I dont need

Account Assure insurance

Claim opened on May 29, 2019 has not been resolved yet on July 25 2019. The claim has not be settled with Comenity Bank which has not charged me late fees and reduced my credit limit as a result of the late payment and the unemployment situation. I have spoken to a representative on 3 separate occasions regarding documentation required and received a new request 2 of the 3 times. I'm not certain if this is a willful disregard to the request to pay the claim and these are stall tactics that they teach the representatives. Either way this presents a learning opportunity for the agents to become familiar with their Policies and Procedures.

In any case the claim is still unpaid to date. I am not being told that it will take an additional 7-10 days to review the documents sent on 07/02/2019! This is totally unacceptable. I will also be filing a complaint with the CFPB with this company because if they are doing this to one customer they are doing it to 1000 customers.
This is not a free service, this is insurance that is paid to the vendor via Comenity Bank. They too need to explore why there are so many complaints regarding the service that the vendor is providing. There is such a thing as Vendor Oversight and violations and compliance issues with the vendor impacts them as well. If necessary I will revisit this site and find customers who will join a Class Actions Law Suit against this company.
