Acaipure review: Charge not authorized by me 1528

I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. yes i was charged $44 and some change for the product that i thought was going to be charged 4.95 ...but if you would have paid attention when you clicked the "rush my order button" you would have seen the other 2 products that are checked off by default so in actuality you did order $44 and change worth of crap...i still havent received the product i ordered...and its been almost a week ...lesson learned ...taking a magic pill is not going to help i should get up and work out instead of looking for the easy way out...that should be a lesson for all of you instead of worrying about a law suit

I ordered this product two weeks ago and have not yet received it. When will I receive it?

This seems to be a standard practice with these people. I ordered the same " free trial" offer for the amount of $1.95 and also got charged $44.95. Then again today I find another charge to my account of $39.95. What is going on? They can't be reached by phone either? I would like for you to return the $39.95 to my account. You had NO trouble taking it out. Thank you,
Rita Harrison

Saw free sample yesterday and ordered online (free... 4.95 shipping). Then I saw these posting! Immediately called my credit card company and sure enough - there was a pending charge for $44+. They sent the charge to their fraud unit and cancelled my card... issuing a new one. I don't have to deal with this company, but I do have to deal with a change in cc #.

Ordered the sample (free...4.95 shipping) yesterday and then saw all these complaints. Immediately called my credit card company - sure enough - there was a pending charge for $44+! Had the credit card company send the charge to the fraud unit and cancelled my card - having it reissued under another number so they can't recharge. This is AWFUL... now I have to deal with a changed cc #. But at least I don't have to deal with them.

I also ordered a free sample and was only to be charged $1.95 for shipping. When I received my sample, I was charged $41.95 and received items I didn't even order, including a $10.00 pack of gum. My order was processed through Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. and after several times of trying to contact them, I still get no answer!

I received the free sample on 9/4/08 along with two other products that I did not order. The sample was to be at no charge just shipping of $4.95 but the sales receipt read $44.85 total. The Hoodiburst Gum and Hoodiawater 1 unit I DID NOT ORDER. I have tried to call them with no results and have tried their email address and it is not good either. I can't send the products back as you need a Return Authorization Number first but can't get that as they do not answer their phone. This is a scam, false advertising and it is fraudulent dealings.

I just got off the phone with the customer service dept at this place.
I, also ordered, online, the free trial offer for the shipping...I was charged $4.95, on my account for that on 8/29. I did receive that and had started taking it.
However, they charged my account $33.95 again on 9/22...which I did not receive a shipment for.
Yesterday, 10/6, they charged my account for another $44.90...
I did not see anywhere in the ad that I would be getting automatically charged or shipped for these
things. I am quite upset over this.
The customer service girl was quite friendly and explained to me that my initial 1st charge was just
for the shipping. It was a 14 day trial and Then they bill you for the cost of the item...which was my 2nd charge. The 3rd charge was for automatic charge and delivery...which Does show up under the terms and conditions, today, which I do not think was available for me to click to or I would have read it and not ordered the product as I do not like to have anything automatically billed or shipped to me.
She said my 2nd bottle would be delivered to me and I could return it. I told her I was not paying a restocking fee which is 15%...I am sure I will have to pay the shipping fee but as long as they credit me for the last/2nd shipment when I return it, is fine. She cancelled any future orders for me.
I will try to post any further information on this for others after I see what happens.

I too ordered the sample for a shipping fee of $1.95 but was charged $41.85. This was advertised by Oprah and other Hollywood stars. It seems she is becoming famous for promoting scam. I know now not to believe anything she and Hollywood folks says. Still have not received my sample but I have the ad and the comment where they offer me the shipping for $1.95. Nothing in the ad states anything else. I've made a dispute claim with my credit card company and will file a dispute with the BBB against http://www.centralcoastnutra.net. and http://www.acai-pure.com.

This company is ridiculous! I've called over 100 times in the past 7 days in attempt to speak to someone, with no answer and just a beep or disconnection. I've emailed them over 20 emails, with no response. They are a SCAM. They inform you they will charge only for shipping & handling [$4.95 or what have you], only to have your card charged $44.85 that same day [before you even receive the product]! If you try and stop your card, they send you back to this comp, that doesn't ever pick up so how can you cancel?! I'm seriously sick to my stomach from this ridiculous circle circus. All because Oprah put her name behind such a joke!

I ordered the free sample on Sept. 14th for $4.95, which was to be shipped within 2 business days, when I did not received the merchandise I e-mailed the Company, I finally got it on Oct.4th with a bill for $44.85 which included gum for $9.95 and a suppressant for $29.95 which I never ordered. This is a real scam and Oprah's programmers should be informed and well as US Postal services. I agree that we need to file a class action lawsuit.

When you go to order, on the right side it shows 2 products where you have to uncheck that you don't want to order. Please read. It's your own fault.

Has anyone reported this to the Oprah website or Subscriber (magazine) comments and complaints section? I too was charged the charge and sent the product plus the "hoodia garbage." I wasn'table to reach customer servince by phone so I sent about 5 e-mails in a row and after a few days someone finally wrote back and apologized but said as an apology they would send me more crap as part of a "full weight loss" program... I responded and of course there has been no future correspondence! mY CHARGE TOO HAPPENED ON 9/11/08 which it seems is the same date as many others. Regarding the fine print... I READ IT... and charging my card for something not returned in 14 days the instant I ordered it is illegal!

What a scam, I agreed to the $4.95 special offer and ended up getting charged $44.85. There out to be a law against this kind of trickery! I, too, want my money back.

When you were confirming your order there was a box on the right hand side of the screen that had a box checked for the gum and the water...you were supposed to uncheck the boxes or they would be added to your order. They are very sneaky but thank goodness I caught it before I confirmed my order!

I recently ordered the trial offer for Colopure and Acaipure. It has taken 3 wks to receive the order. But the kicker was that included in my order were charges of $39.95 x 2) for Hoodiburst gum and hoodiawater. On the receipt was a notation that there was a 15% restocking fee for returned products! I have emailed the Central Coast Nutraceuticals and protested. No return response yet.

Same thing happened to me! $41.95, $39.95, and $44.90, and nothing received since the "free" trial which was supposed to cost $1.95! I've contacted my bank to get it stopped and file fraudulent charges against them.

I am experiencing the same problem with Acai-pure. I authorized a charge of $4.95 on my card for shipping and was billed $44.85. I have tried calling numerous times and am unable to speak to anyone. I sent an email and received a response saying they would respond within 24-48 hours and have received no response. I called my bank and the amount can be disputed when no shipment is received. Another option is for my account to be closed and a new card issued. My advice to those with the same problem - dispute the charges with your bank and ask for you account to be closed and a new card issued. Fine print on Terms and Conditions states the card will be charged additional $39.95 14 days after receipt of the free trial offer, not immediately!

After ordering the trail acaipure my credit card was charged the full month price. I have been unsuccessful in phoning them and also going to their website. This is another company who rips off people who put their trust in them. If anyone has been able to get a refund, please let me know at ljoa424@aol.com

Thanks.

I only ordered the free trial for 4.95 s/h. they sent gum and hoodiawater, making the total 44.85.
I did not order these extra products.
If you send the products back, you are charged a
15% restocking fee on items that you did not order to begin with!
If they do not stop charging my account, what are other customers like myself to do?

Same as all the other complaints. Today, 10-2-08, I received a package from Nutraceuticals. I asked for the free sample only and paid the postage to get it here. They sent me the Acai Pure Trial along with Hoodiburst gum and Hoodiawater. I can't use either because of the caffeine. They charged me $44.85 and I cannot reach anyone by phone. What a ripoff. I would like to rippoff that company, if there is such a company. I will report it to the consumers board of Ohio tomorrow and will also try to stop payment on the bill. These kind of people should be sent to Iraque. Supposed to get a Customer Care No. in order to get refund. Can't get the No. when no one ans. the phone

I agree with everything being said. I also was scammed. In no way did I see any bubble that needed to be unclicked so they wouldn't send the other items. Well they sent them anyway and they can just eat it because I made sure they can't use my account anymore. Lesson learned.

I have been dealing with the same issues that I have now read on here. I wanted to comment because I have found a way to reach them. Go online to their original web page and once you are on there for a while, you will get a chat box that will come up. I started chatting with someone and told them that I wanted to cancel my trial offer, and I wasn't very nice about it. I told them that this was just a big scam. They chatted back telling me that it wasn't and we just continued to argue for a while until the person I was chatting with gave me a different e-mail address that was no where to be found on any paper or any where on their web site. I sent them a message saying that I did not want them to send me anything, and to stop charging my account. I did get an e-mail back stating that they had canceled my subscription. I have recently found out that they had already charged me for a month supply that I have yet to see. I too, am disputing it with my credit card company. Hopefully this will help someone out there. And at least I will have an e-mail now as proof that I did cancel in case they try to bill me again.

I did the same thing, didn't check off the box that said"do not order the Hoodia Products " which add an additional 39.95 to your bill.
I found the best way to get through is to keep clicking on the "O" (zero) and after a long wait of music you'lol finally get a person. Don't hang up when the voice mail tells you to call back later, just press O and eventually you'll get someone . They also offer you a $20.00 immediate refund of wait several weeks for the full refund (which I opted for) They also said they would eliminate the 15% restocking fee.
Getting through is a royal pain, but once you do, they are very nice and acommadating.

If you read the terms and conditions then you wouldnt feel stupid.its not a scam you just have to read what you are buying. IF YOU DONT READ THEN YOU MUST BE STUPID
