A1Smartshop review: First time purchase from A1smartshop

First time purchase from A1smartshop, I'll admit I was nervous initially. Never heard of the site, and after doing a bit of research read some negative reviews, people claiming to not have received orders and/or refunds, etc.

However, I've been waiting to purchase a G7 Pro Wireless for Xbox controller for a while. I came across this store offering the Wuchang edition for £62.99.

It was a price I couldn't resist, so hedged my bets and placed an order with my credit card, just in case.

I'll just say, considering this has shipped from China, absolutely amazingly quick delivery! Full tracking was available.

I was of course still dubious, will it arrive? Or more importantly, what will?

Well, I'm incredibly happy! It's here! Ordered 10th April and delivered 20th April.

Packaged well enough, box is very lightly marked, but nothing worse than what I've had delivered from local stores or places like Amazon.

With it being from China, obviously it's Chinese writing on the packaging/instructions etc, which is to be expected and honestly adds to the charm.

It's such an amazing feeling controller, buttons, triggers, sticks. Slightly smaller than an Xbox Series controller which fits my hands much better.

Connected to console no issues, charging dock and controller firmware both updated just fine.

All buttons working as expected.

I've wanted a 'pro' controller for a while, having two buttons on the rear and two next to the triggers/shoulder buttons is much my preference and easier to use in my opinion.

My only concern is how I would stand with warranty, being in the UK and the product being intended for China or that region, but hopefully it's not something I'll need anyway.

A slight disappointment is the charging dock, there's a small mark/chip in the paintwork on the edge (see pic), but for the price I'm OK with it, and that is nothing to do with A1.

I will definitely purchase from them again and will take a browse through their store, I might even buy another G7 Pro!
