A1 Marketing Unlimited Satisfied

I just wanted to say that i was very skeptical about choosing A1 Marketing to market my timeshare. To my surprise they did exactly what they told me they were going to do. The sale representative really helped me through all the steps, I'm really glad i chose to go with A1. I have recommended them to all my friends and i recommend it to you if you read this. Great company with great people working for it.

A1 Marketing Unlimited failure to deliver services

This is a complaint against A1 Marketing Unlimited (Vacation Resale).
We were contacted (stocked) by a Joseph Schuler representing himself as employee of the A1 Marketing Unlimited. He presented his company A1 as an innovative marketing solution to market timeshares for sale or rent worldwide. He convinced us to go in a contract with the company to sale our Marriott Hawaii timeshare. He had all details about our timeshare property prior to our conversation.
He promised that he has a customer ready to pay cash for our timeshare. A1 Marketing Unlimited charged us $699.00 upfront for the services. After the charge was cleared he disappeared. Multiple times we tried to contact the company on the phone and it looks like Mr. Schuler together with the rest of the company was bombed off the surface of the Earth.
This is absolutely unacceptable behavior for a business. We would like this issue to be resolved and our money refunded back.

Hello, I have not been on this site for some time. I have also been scammed by a1, several months ago, who also had all the info related to our timeshare, said he had 2 definetly interested parties in purchasing our property, and told me the price, which sounded good, as I have been hit with an unexpected illness and was thinking of all the medical debt I had. He told us for $900.00 to start the legal paper work and it was "a done deal, sold. Well since then I have spoken with 3 different agents who say they are taking over my marketing. As of now, I can't get any of them to the phone, no sale.
Have you had resolution? Do you have any resources? I contacted a Florida attorney that I found on a timeshare fraud website, as the a1 that contacted me was from Florida. He advised me to report to the attorney general of florida, as they were doing investigations and frequent closeures of these type companies, i did that. I have not recieved any info or refund.
I refuse to be scammed, but seem to have limited resources.
Please let me know any updates on your situation.
Thank you

A1 Marketing Unlimited THANK YOU!

I own a timeshare owner in Branson MO. I had an agent by the name of Bill Hillis call me and give me his whole speech on what him and his company could do for me. I denied him and told him that I wasn't going to waste my hard earned money on someone over the phone that I didn't know. A few days went by and Bill called me again and I ignored his phone calls and finally I spoke with my husband about the company and what they could 'supposedly' do for us. I had my husband call Mr. Hillis back and speak with him... if Mr. Hillis could win over my husband (which is no easy task) then he could have our business. After a 1hr 30min conversation with Mr. Hillis my husband got off the phone with him and started to tell me about the entire program and what he thought about it. As I dug a little further I found out that they did have an excellent rating with the BBB and anytime that I called I always got a reply back within a few hours. Finally after a month and a half of playing phone tag and 2nd guessing I finally went with A1 and I have no regrets. My property has been rented out 2 seperate times... I'm still waiting on someone to purchase the property from us. However, it's amazing what little time and a lot of faith can do for you. THANK you A1 and Mr. Hillis for putting my property on the market and putting money in my husband and I's pocket.

A1 Marketing Unlimited No Service as promised

We were promised by a member of A1 that he would have our timeshare sold within 90 days. He told us how to get a refund from the company we were using that we had no success with. He emphesized that he has a license to sell and A1 Marketing is an excellent company to deal with. This man kept in touch with us constantly as we were waiting for our refuns from the other company to send the money to A1. Then all contact stopped except for a monthly form letter stating they are doing everything they possibly can to sell our timeshare. The agent's phone numbers do not work any more and any contact with the company gives us another form letter that they are doing everything possible. We were assured of the 90 dasy sale maybe not that lonf mentioned the agent. this was September 2010 and this writing is April 2011. How do these companies be allowed to stay in buisiness?

A1 Marketing Unlimited Scams

This firm A1marketing contacted us on February 24th of this year. They claimed to “have a buyer for our timeshare”. The buyer was willing to pay top dollar (almost $15, 000), and all we needed to do was pay $1250.00 for a “title search, document preparation, and closing fees”. We paid the $1, 250.00 and were told to expect the completed closing documents once the title search was done. We were told the buyer had already committed to the sale.

After waiting the 2 weeks and hearing nothing, we called A1 (several times until we were finally able to get someone on the phone) only to be told the buyer had backed out last minute. We were also told that our “title search” funds were non-refundable and they abruptly brushed us off. We realized at this point we had been taken. We have since been given the run around by A1 Marketing Representatives, and no sale or follow up whatsoever.

So we began to do some research on this firm and found many others on line who have had same or similar experiences with this same firm. It turns out this company was just incorporated 2 weeks before the call we received from them. We have also searched all the addresses on A1 Marketing were either private residences or mail boxes. After looking further we believe this firm was not even a licensed marketing firm in the state of Florida.

It appears (at least to us) that this is nothing more than a SCAM which takes advantage of people like us who wish they had never even bought a timeshare to begin with. To add insult to injury we are now scammed for another $1, 250.00 which we truly cannot afford in this economy. It is heartbreaking!

To whom it may concern,
Deanna

I agree fully, these people (A-1 Marketing) are the ### of the earth. They will lie to you, when the truth would have sounded better! They are a bunch of thieves and should be put out of business by the local or federal authorities. Never do business with these thieves, for they will STEAL YOUR MONEY, I promise you !. I know of several other people that trusted these thieves (what a terrible mistake) and lost their money, only to be lied to time after time, and finally were discarded by these low life scums. I don't understand how these thieves stay in business, the Attorney Generals Office for the state of Florida has numerous complaints against this company, yet does nothing about their business conduct, which is a real shame for the state and all the people that have been duped by these lying thieves... Shut these lying THIEVES down Florida !

A-1 Marketing is a SCAM. They stated they had a buyer for me and that all I had to pay was $998.00 to have have my loan docs released from my timeshare. The agent I was working with, Mat Cole, probably a fake name, told me that everything is going great and I should receive a check in about two months. After two weeks I did not hear from them and I have been calling non stop for the last week and a half. No one will return my calls and unbeknown to me the company where I bought my timeshare will not even release docs to third parties. Boy, do I feel duped! I sure wish I read this site before I gave these thieves my hard earned money. But they will not go unpunished, My GOD is a just God, they may think they are getting away with something but in the end truth reigns. P Fraijo, Rancho Cucamonga, CA

A1 Marketing is the biggest RIP OFF on the planet ! They are nothing but a bunch of lying thieves. They will steal your money, and tell you nothing but a pack of lies.. DO NOT GIVE THESE THIEVES ONE CENT OF YOUR MONEY, unless you just like giving your hard earned dollars away.. The lying thieves made me promise after promise and not one single time did any of their "contracts" ever come through. They never called me back, like they promised they would at least a dozen times. When I called them and asked to speak with the sales rep. or branch manager, I was put on hold for hours at a time ( this is not an exaggeration nor a lie) and then I would be cut-off, without ever getting to speak to anyone.. I called Customer Service several times, I emailed them, I faxed them, when I did get to talk with someone in Customer Service they promised me that they would have a manager call me back with-in 24 hours.. Never once did I ever get that return call... I can not stress enough what a low-life, thieving, lying, sorry bunch, A1 Marketing turned out to be ! I honestly don't know how any descent human could work for this dishonest, lying, thieving company. How in the world the Fla. Atty. Generals Office lets these lying thieves stay in business is beyond my comprehension ! I implore you to look at all the hundreds of complaints against this company before you ever, ever think of giving them a single cent, because you'll never - ever get it back - only a bunch of lies will you hear from A1 Marketing ! Trust me on this.. E. Davis, Irving, Texas

Deannas FROM TENNESSEE you are very incorrect I used to sell for them and you are incorrect about EVERYTHING. The fee is 998.00 per prop so you stating it was 1250 is lie! They NEVER tell you the buyer is commited to the sale, you would have to go threw a recorded verification telling you they don't have a buyer! The company was established in 1978, not 2 weeks before you supposivly signed up! I worked ther for 3 years in the address not of a private mailbox! 1443 East new york ave licenc # TC920250. You know its people like you that make all of our jobs in a legitiment buisness that make it harder. I sold hundreds of prperties but could have sold thosands. You probably work for a LISTING companyand since we are your only compotition you do stuff like this! You are the one ripping people off, get a life! Oh and just to let anyone wondering why i'm not there, my spouse is in the navy and we had to move I loved working for them and helping all my clients get rid of there shares.

After I had already signed on with A1 I saw that the Laconia office had an F rating, I was very upset and called my representative in the Daytona office. He assured me that they could have erased the F rating if they paid the BBB, I understand that any company in bussinness for a long time will not satisfy everyone. Anyway, as it passed the 90 days and I still hadn't recieved an offer I liked (I did get offers the first week) I began to really think it was a bad idea. Much to mu surprise about 4 months in I got the top dollar offer I wanted and got my unit rented. I've been with them two years now and couldn't be happier!

Your concerns are absolutely correct - A1 Marketing Unlimited - is a "BIG SCAM" and nothing more! They will steal your money in a heart-beat, and constantly LIE to you while doing it. These people should locked-up for their lying SCAMS.

I usually am on the side of too trusting and like to believe people are generally good. But I was very concerned that A1 Marketing Unlimited found a buyer for my timeshare willing to pay $29, 998... and all I had to pay was the $998 to cover document costs - that was overpriced - I would take $5000 just to get rid of my timeshare. When I asked them to send documents so I could have my lawyers verify who they were before I paid the fee they said mo problem - checked my email and as of yet have never received anything to verify their legitimacy. I'm beginning to believe the others - definitely a scam!

A1 Marketing Unlimited complaint

I own a business and know how these complaint web-site work. Just meant to bash hard working people. In college I worked as a waiter and people always wait until their meal is gone and then complain. Just to try to get it for free. As a business owner I can assure you reading complaints on businesses on the internet is a waist of time. The competition can make untrue complaints, a disgruntled employee or past employee can make false complaints. And as a business it can do little to fix it once it is on the internet. A1 marketing is a legitimate company. I am happy with them. If you have a complaint take it up with them. They can't fix it if they don't know about it and you only post it online. Otherwise if you are reading this web-site to "check up on them" assume all complaints are made by people wanting a free meal, competitor, or disgruntled past employee. Any concern or problem I have experienced with A1 Marketing has been handled appropriatley and I am happy with their services. Thanks for reading.

It is just a little difficult to take up complaints with a company when the phone numbers are no longer in working order. For example, the phone numbers for Twila Batie and Craig Goodman simply do not function and those were the two people with whom I was working to get my mother's $1800 refunded. They promised to return the funds over two weeks ago and they have not done so. They were also supposed to send out a package of hard copy information on their services and their guarantees such that my mother can review everything in writing before agreeing to move forward with their organization again, if she so desires. Now that the phone numbers are non-functional and my mother has not received her refund as promised. We will start the fraud paperwork with the credit card company today. Twila seemed responsive and responsible on the phone as did Craig Goodman, but they were both all talk and no action. I will try to see if the phone number for the sales person, Mika is in working order. I am however, not certain what he will do if I can contact him. He also promised my mother's refund. We shall see.

All I can say is stay away from A1 Marketing. Does anyone remember the movie "Tin Men" ? That is what this company is all about. They contacted me and told me they could have my weeks rented in 2 weeks, the renters were already set. It all went down hill from there. The agent Joe Treber disappeared after our agreement and even had his cell phone disconnected. He was trying to get me to list my property to sell. Thank God I backed off that. I learned the hard way that this is not a reputable company.
Good luck trying to get in touch with anyone. Criminal and Crooks are the only words that come to mind.

A1 Marketing Unlimited Sorry or No Service

We were contacted several years ago by a sales agent of A1 Marketing, Patti Payne, wanting to sell our timeshare. They claimed to have a buyer ready to pay a decent price. Like fools we said okay and shelled out several hundred dollars for an ad and "sales services". This past Sunday we were called by a third party who "had a client with an offer", an acceptable one. He needed to contact our agent, Patti Payne, at A1 to set up the deal. Again we were fools and and sent more money to close the deal. We are now out our money and no sale. I've concluded it has all been a scam. Be smarter than we were and steer clear of this company or anyone claiming to be one of their agents.

I just got threatened by Paul Harris at A1 Marketing company as I asked for more information to feel comfortable about his offer he made. He wanted me to pay upfront to the title company a paymt vs let the title company take their cost out of sale at time of closing. When I challenged this approach he got mad at me and THREATENED me that he could put a lien on my property . THIS IS CRAZY! I am not sure why these guys are allowed to do business. I am reporting this to BBB right now

this company is is scam! Me and my wife booked a vacation with them for the incredible low price of 1, 000 for a full week in the Bahamas! Of course this deal was to good to be true when we got there we were forced to attend a sales meeting we felt like hostages and we ended up buying a timeshare for 18, 000 now we are stuck with the property and now i have no idea if i will be able to get rid of this. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can rid myself of this timeshare in any other means other than a1 marketing?

I was just contacted by Michelle Hooper, from one of their Florida locations. She started out at $799 and then dropped her price to $599. She claims that A-1 has an 89% success rate in selling or renting timeshares. I seriously doubt it after reading all of these blogs of truthful bad experiences.

Wow, I was just about to give them my credit card number for $998 but held off until I saw the "Agreement". They emailed me a document that was not very professional looking for a company that has supposedly been in business for 30 years. However, the terms on the Agreement gave me cause for great concern so I discussed them with my representative and then her manager but was verbally assured that a rental offer would be made within 30 days and they needed to word it that way but the official addendum would come after i became a member and would have all the legal wording just as they verbally promised. Problem was they needed my credit card number before I could get that. The terms clearly state that this is a 90 day contract and if my property doesn't rent within that time period, they would market it for an additional 90 days with no charge. The agreement also states that "A1 Marketing Unlimited, Inc. assumes no responsibility for any verbal or written misrepresentations made by any agent ..." (So there you go; would you sign that?) They are also big on saying I can cancel within 10 days (even though the Agreement states 7 days), and that the e-commerce act will protect me for 18 months. However, can you see my credit card company giving me a refund based on signing their Agreement? I mean, I'm sure they will attempt to market the property so they performed, and they didn't charge me any more money for working on my behalf for a 2nd 90 days. I'm thinking this is a case of throwing good money after bad.

I did not have money to pay upfront so he is to call me back. After reading all the negative comments, It makes me wonder if they are also a fraud. I have been frauded by many companies that say they have sold my timeshare and then after they get the money, you can no longer get in touch with them. A-1 Marketing Unlimited has been calling me on and off for three years claiming that I owe them money on a contract I never signed. The first time I was contacted I paid them to avoid trouble. This time a man named Jim called me many times belittling me and threatening to take money from my account if I did not comply. This time I did not pay them and have changed all my account information to avoid future issues. All this trouble over a contract I have never signed, or planned to sign. Do not trust this company, they are fraudulent, their employees are rude scam artists, and they have an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau.

These people arescum! They tricked me and my wife into coming to one of their sales pitches and sold us a sheraton timeshare for $14k telling us the whole time that we was saving like 50% off (they tried selling us for even more $$ but came down when we wouldnt bite) Well I don't know about the 50% off but what these dirtbags didnt tell us is that when we got home and looked on the internet we found out wecould've bought the same thing on the net for WAY WAY less! I mean like a grand or so! So then we tried to get out of it and they told us we only had three days to cancel and that had passed. Then they offered to sell it for us so I said, what am I an idiot? No one is gonna pay me what I need when they can by them on the net for 1k! and they wanted me to pay them for that! What a rip-off!
