3 Guys Flooring review: Bad Install

My husband and I bought a fixer-uper house because of it's location (right next to my Mom and Dad). It was a rare chance to get clost by all my relatives eventhough the house is less than stellar so we settled for it. Anyway, as we are renavating on a budget I decided I could not take the living room floor and wanted new. My husband (a great do it yourselfer) is in school so he convinced me to spend and get a great expensive floor installed from a nice place. Well, Arizona Tile is a nice place. We had bought floor before that my husband installed and I felt very confident that they would do a great job. The floor was not cheap (Torly) but the install sure was! The salesman told me they would take up the baseboards and then put down the floor. The guys who can seemed nice but were completely unwilling to even TRY to take up the baseboards. Then they told me to go to the lumberyard and get some cheap quarterround to put down. He then tried to CHARGE me for the install of the quarterround ($100 mind you for a 12 by 16 room-Come on). The Arizona salesman stopped by and was pissed about all of it...charges, refusal to take up baseboards, etc) but by then the floor is almost done... They tried to make it up and gave me new matching quarter-round, fixed the trim on the door he total busted up and even sent someone else at my insisitance. HOWEVER, that will never make up for the floor I look at everyday and spent $3000 on that looks cheap in the doorway due to his botched install...noone will ever think that Arizona installed that or that maybe there is any resale value in the flooring we spent dearly on. All in all it is the installer's fault but I will NEVER recomment Arizona as this is their install team. I know this as I asked the salesman REPEATEDLY if these were the regular guys they used and he told me yes every time I asked. I would not chance it and if I did, I would be the biggest overseeing ### they had ever seen...they would do it exactly as promised or be taking the floor back with them as I would get a refund. Too bad I cannot get one! 3 Guys flooring suck...I have pictures to prove it!
