Unauthorized credit card charge for family protect elite
Last Sept. 14, 2018, I had received this e-mail message from RCBC Bankard.
"Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for using your Rcbc Bankard No. xxxx8002 at Family Protect Elite on 09/14/2018 at 1:27PM."
I responded to them that "I did not avail the use of my credit card for Family Protect Elite".
Yesterday I received another message through my mobile phone informing me that I used (again) my RCBC Bankard No. xxxx8002 for Family Protect Elite last October 01, 2018. I did not use it for this.
Due to these unwelcomed incidents and as well as in this time of financial crisis I am now experiencing, I hereby request the cancellation of Family Protect Elite effective immediately auto-charged under RCBC Bankard No. ending in 8002. Policy Holder: Joel Anthony M. Hicap. As I was informed prior to availing this policy last September last year, the policy will run for a year. So the policy should expire by September, 2018. I am no longer interested in its renewal. So kindly cancel my expired Family Protect Elite policy as soon as possible. Aside from which, I would also like to request for a refund on the last transaction on my RCBC Card which charged the Family Protect Elite.

Family protection elite
Last November 2017 an agent from YGC Insurance (Malayan Insurance) offered a Family Protection Elite which cost P520.00 monthly thru telephone conversation and will automatically debited to my RCBC credit card. I accepted the offer since she mentioned the following:
1. I will receive P5000 per day allowance once confined in hospital
2. I can reimburse all my expenses in the hospital
3. My daily allowance will increase from P5, 000 to P10, 000 if transferred to ICU
4. My beneficiary will receive P300, 000 on my accidental death
All the four items above made me convinced to accept her offer so she proceed to agreement, I just needed to answer "Yes" if I agree or "No" if I do not. Then she asked me if I agree on the terms and conditions, so I said yes since all I understand is what she discussed earlier, she never mentioned the duration of the contract or the coverage of the insurance. She said that our telephone conversation is recorded and will serve as our agreement, but I will receive the copy of our agreement in 1 week after our conversation. Then, I received the agreement in the office and did not attempt to read it since as far as I know, what she discussed to me thru phone is what all inside the paper.
Last January 5-8, 2018 I was confined for 4 days to the hospital due to Dengue Fever. After I checked out to the hospital I called the YGC Customer Service to reimburse my hospital expenses, but unfortunately the agent told me that dengue fever is not covered of my insurance as stated in our agreement, then I checked the terms and conditions only to find out that most common illness are not covered of my insurance. I called the YGC customer service again to request to cancel my insurance since I find it useless anymore, they instructed me to email to [protected]@ygc.com.ph and state my reasons why I want to cancel my insurance, I emailed them 3 times but never receive a confirmation. So after 3 days I called them again and they informed me that I can't cancel my insurance since they have a 1 year member policy. The agent, Ms. Flor Molasco told me that I agree to their 1 year contract, so they will auto debit to my rcbc credit card for 12 months the 520 pesos. I never remember they mentioned that to me. They keep on telling I agreed on their terms and conditions but I received the copy of terms and conditions 1 week after our recorded conversation.

nasa ganyan scenario din ako before, MARCH 2019, nag agree ako to subscribe sa "My Family Shield", by December 2019 I decided na gusto ko na mag cancel, pero tama yun isang nag comment dito sa thread, hindi ka pwede mag cancel hanggat hindi mo natapos yun 1year mo, kaya to play safe, ang suggest ko sa inyo ay mag file kayo ng cancel 2 months bago mag-1-year yun contract ninyo

My mother has been paying this Card for Life insurance already amounting a total of 4, 560.00 Php (about 100 US dollars) that has been endorsed to her by an employee of the Yuchengco Group of Companies named Marvin Logan thru a phone call since March 2016. Since my mother was akin on helping this sales insurance agent, more of out of pity than necessity, she kept on paying 380 pesos per month (about 8 US dollars) that assures her that in case of emergency matters, she will be given complete hospitalization in addition to having 450pesos /day. All of these information were coursed through just a phone call, and it interestingly only took my mother's plain 'yes' for everything to run smoothly; there was no contract, no paper, no document. It was rather quick that my mother's credit card was dutifully deducted monthly even without supporting documents. It came to a point where my mom wanted to stop availing this said insurance after a while. Since September of 2016, we have been trying to reach them for our concern but we are being passed to one, then another, then other more phone call receivers from the side of YGC. Most of them telling that YGC is the one handling this insurance, and that we should call a different line instead, when in fact we are calling their very contact number/s. Our emails are not received, or perhaps because there have been to many also that has been 'scammed' by this insurance, they don't bother to answer anymore.
My mother and I cannot find any information about this insurance in the internet, not even in YGC's website; but since we have made a lot of complaint calls, we have known from several call receivers that there are also many who have the same complaint.
Please attend to our concern because no one seems to bother, and until this very moment, my mother still receives a monthly deduction that she doesn't want anymore at the first place.
