Gurney's review: I will never purchase anything from here again.

I spent over $400.00 on two 5ft Arborvitae trees and despite planting them right away and in good soil, and watering them with a drip system, the trees started dying right away. I contacted Gurney's and was told they were just going through transplant shock and not to worry, that they had a one year guarantee and I would be refunded if the trees died. The trees did indeed die, however when I contacted Gurney's for my refund they kept giving me the run around, claiming I hadn't sent them the pictures of the dead trees despite the fact that my send folder confirmed the pictures were attached to the emails I sent Gurney's and resent four times, then Gurney's blamed it on their email system. As a customer, I have no control over their email system and if it doesn't work properly, that is Gurney's responsibility to fix. I will now file a complaint with my bank. I will NEVER buy anything from Gurney's ever again and I will warn all my friend on Facebook, Nextdoor, X and instagram of the poor quality plants and the games they play when you try to claim your guarantee. I just wish I could post pictures here of the dead trees so potential customers can see for themselves.
