I asked to fly from A to B and the system proposed a route with one connection flight, which I accepted. The two flights were with different companies, although BudgetAir sold it as one bulk. One of the flights was cancelled, and BudgetAir didn’t suggest alternative flights. They said over the phone that they can refund only the flight that was indeed cancelled and that the other flight is my problem. When I asked them to contact the other company and at least try to work something out, they refused and told me to call them myself (although they were my “Agent”). The airline company refused my request to manage the flight at all, since I didn’t order it from them directly, and told me to go through my “Agent”. By the way, they said that if I cancelled the flight with them I would at least get the airport taxes, but I cannot cancel because I didn’t order!
I called BudgetAir again and asked talking to a supervisor. I was told that the supervisor is busy, but he/she would call me back within 2 hours. Naturally, nobody called back and I called them again the next day. They said that someone would call me within 48 hours. Nobody called me, but they did send me an email repeating that it is my problem and reminding me that they are so great in customer service….
On the website of BudgetAir. fr it says that the phone service in English is available 24/7, however when I called on Sunday, the autoreply says that the service is closed today…
I guess, if there are no issues with flights, it doesn’t matter where you order, but if you should need help, don’t count on them!
My biggest disappointment is not that I lost some money, things like these can happen, it is that the “Agent” didn’t even try contacting the airline on my behalf.
