Woolworths Paulshof review: Lack of helpfulness and no apology

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I've just been to the Woolworths Paulshof and was made to wait for over half an hour whilst the inexperienced managers attempted to resolve my problem. My card was swiped and it said that the limit was exceeded - which is impossible as I don't have a limit on my card. I then told them to try other machines and eventually gave them my private bankers details and told them to phone them to resolve this problem. Seeing as their telephone wasn't in working order, I, the customer, had to pay for the cellphone cost to phone my Standard Bank private bankers so that the manager (Doctor) could speak to them. After confirming with the bank that there was absolutely no problem with my account/card, my private banker told them what to key into the pad and so we went back to the tills again. After punching in what should've been punched in 1st time, they got the correct message. So, after all this, they'd been punching in the incorrect code on the keypad. I was absolutely furious, not only did they waste over half an hour of my time but I also paid for the phone call. There was absolutely no form of apology/remorse from either 1 of the managers (Doctor & Thabang) and it actually seemed as though they couldn't give 2 continentals, which actually infuriated me even more. Where are we headed in this country, we've got inexperienced 'managers', who don't seem to know their ### from their elbows and have got absolutely no client service training.

I can guarantee that this complaint won't even be taken seriously and I probably won't even get contacted - which is even more appalling as I seem to remember that back in the day, if a complaint was made, Woolworths would contact you and resolve the problem as soon as possible.
