We bought a car from Weber Chevrolet Columbia IL on July 9. The car we traded in had only 4K miles on it, and we had owned it for just 4 months. We decided to trade it in to lower our monthly payment. I mentioned several times that I felt the trade-in value was too low, but they didn't seem to take me seriously. Two days later, I saw my old car on their lot with a price that was 8k higher than what they gave us for it. We understand they need to make a profit, but it didn't feel right, and it seemed like deceptive practices. We went ahead and signed the deal, but seeing that made me realize that we weren't treated fairly. The sales manager didn't seem to care and just brushed it off.

I went to Weber Chevrolet 'cause my coworker told me to check it out 'cause I wanted a new car. I talked to this guy Josh Kimbrow, who my coworker recommended. We talked about what kinda cars I wanted and I told him. Josh asked 'bout my credit and I said it's 'round 580-600. I asked him to do a soft inquiry so it wouldn't mess up my credit score. So, two days later, I went to my bank, First Community Credit Union, to see 'bout gettin' a loan. The lady at the bank told me that Weber Chevrolet ran my credit seven times that day after I left. I emailed the boss at Weber Chevrolet 'bout what happened, but he didn't even bother to respond. Last week, I filed a complaint with the Illinois Secretary of State 'bout Weber Chevrolet. I got a copy of the email I sent to the boss at Weber Chevrolet.

Me and my fiancée bought a 2022 *** Blazer RS on 09/19/2022 and did all the paperwork between 8:40-9:10 PM at night. Their business was supposed to close at 8:00 PM that day. Our sales guy *** was just okay during the whole process, using regular sales tactics. There was another thing with *** that happened before the test drive where we were thinking of going over our budget by 15k. We asked if we could talk privately and *** said he would leave the room for us. But he actually stayed close by at the front desk, about 10 feet away, for most of the time. After we test drove the car, *** showed us a paper with different packages, from the most expensive to the cheapest, which turned out to be warranties that we didn't plan on getting. *** told us we only needed the cheapest package and never called it a warranty. We thought we had to choose one of the options since there was no option to say no, so we went with the recommended one, which was the cheapest. Then we signed some papers with the finance guy who called it a service contract instead of a warranty. Now *** is only letting us cancel 3 out of the 4 service contract options, even though we haven't received the Ceramic coating protection yet. *** doesn't think they did anything wrong in the process, even though they never told us we were getting a warranty and made it seem like we had to choose one of the options. They asked us to do an ANONYMOUS survey, and my fiancée gave our sales guy a 4/5. But then he called us the next day asking why, which is annoying because it was supposed to be anonymous. *** also asked us to rate him better on the second survey and even gave us instructions on how to do it. He asked us to call his personal cell instead of the business line to talk more about it.
