Hello, I graduated from Walden with a master’s in Mental Health Counseling. I have hard evidence of fraud on the part of Walden. I want to reach out to anyone with a similar issue. Also, if you have information regarding a lawsuit, then please keep me informed. I am no longer interested in posting bad reviews. I want to take action in the judicial arena.

Hi I had a similar thing happen with Walden University. I was a student a year ago in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Strange things happened at my first residency that can only be explained by Waldens homosexual/lesbian agenda. They said I looked uncomfortable counseling a lesbian girl in a pretend counseling session. I was immediately thrown into Student Planning Development and made to feel horrible for nothing. It was mental abuse. If you don’t support gays, you are ganged up on. Equality doesn’t exist at Walden. Fairness and respect for other religions and faith does not exist (for the Christian or Bible believer). I’m interested in a class action lawsuit. I was after residency given a C that dropped my gpa in another class and I would have had an A if the professor hadn’t “misplaced” my homework I submitted. Once your gpa is dropped, you are required to take 2 extra classes. This college is a scam. [protected] cell

I had to withdraw from the MHC program in 2015 because of the same reason. I would like to take legal action as well, especially because now that I am in NY I cannot reenroll due to Walden not receiving recertification with the NYS Education Department. Have you found anything that might be of help?

I started Master of Mental Health Counseling degree in 2008 I have not graduated yet, I could not find placement for an internship or practicum. no one would work with Walden university in my area, I'm in the Knoxville TN area fully of colleges. I was told several times to get my PHD it would be easier to get a practicum or internship, (right) if I can't find anyone who will take me as a Masters how do I expect to find an internship for PHD. At the present time I owe at least 200k and can not pay back because I have no job. I could not graduate because I lack two internship. I contacted the school several time as well as the dean and was giving a long run around. finally I stopped trying because no one at the school cared. I would love to take action and get my loans dismissed but don't know where to turn.

I was in the mental health program as well. They required me to pay for an internship. I was not working and could not afford to do that. But who pays to intern? That was the first and only time of hearing anyone say such a thing. I applied for the Borrower's Defense with the Dept of Education just like you. I am hoping that they will forgive the loans. If you apply then it will be more than me stating this deceptive tactic! They never told me that I had to find my own place to intern. They said that they would assist. And when the time came they turned the tables and said that we had to find it on our own. I did not have any background in this field so I did not have any contacts in the field. No one would accept me as an intern. When I went back to my field counselor she said that if she could find someone to allow me to intern for them, I would have to pay that person to allow me to intern for them. Baffling!
