When Vivint first spoke to me about the security system it sounded so great. The salesman on the phone told me that I could get the system including 2 camera, one for the back and 1 for the front and the door bell for free and the total is $49.00 per month and the first month was free. I couldn't sign the tablet the person had in his hand because I had just had hand surgery so he said let him sign it and I couldn't read it because he wouldn't let it go, because he said he was in a hurry to pick up his girl. So I had no idea what was on the tablet. Everything that was said to me on the phone and the person with the tablet said that the signature was to say that he did his installation nothing is the truth at all. When I had the installation done a little while later I had call to Vivint because the system wasn't working correctly. They sent the first repair person and he walked in and looked at it and said everything was fine. Then once again it wasnt working properly and I had to call Vivint again. Another serviceman came to my home and this time he said, " you not the only one having problems and this company that does not care" he even gave me his personal cell number. Then I get a call from my bank telling me a company named Fortiva is going into my account and since I didn't know who this was my bank stop them. Then I called Fortiva to see why they went into my bank and they explain it all. First Vivint never mention this company and had no permission to give them my personal Banking information without my permission. I then called Vivint and after to speaking to the rep. I told her I would like to cancel and she refused this request. I explain to her you cant tell a customer that they cant cancel in this short period when everything was a lie and nothing is working correctly. Then a while later there was a deactivated message on the panel on the wall and I took a picture of this because I felt if a company can lie for a sale and be so unprofessional that once I complain they would do something so deceitful, I was right the deactivated message some how disappeared. This was a scam and I really thought it was a good idea being Disabled. There is not one person in my town and surrounding towns that either said they went threw this with Vivint or knew someone that did. I should have never went through this. I repeated over and over asked for the system to be taken off my home and that was a big " no" once I was told " do it your self" What a shame...Christina Bonner ...[protected] landline/fax

A young salesman came knocking on my door selling Vivint’s security system and since my daughters had this security system and seemed to like it I decided to try it. They told me that I had a few days to try it out and if I didn’t like it they would come over and take it out and cancel the agreement. I began calling them the very next day to have everything removed and the agreement canceled and every time they told me no. Also they didn’t tell me that I was paying over $7000 through a bank loan for anything. I was also led to believe that the agreement was only for two years if I decided to keep the system. When the two years were up I called to cancel my account, but the girl on the phone told me that I had to pay off that bank loan before I could cancel my account so I called the bank and paid off the loan that very day. When I called Vivint back to inform them that the loan was paid off and that I wanted my account closed the girl told me that I would have to pay another $880 in order to close my account because I had three more years left on the contract. When the electrical connection was broken they wanted me to pay $100 to have someone come out to repair it so I decided to not repair it. I never used the security system since the second day I had it anyway. It infuriates me that they were deceptive and lied to me about everything. Since then every time someone has tried talking to me about security systems and I mention Vivint they tell me that they’ve met a lot of people with the same complaints as I have about Vivint. Even one of my daughters told me that she had the same problem with Vivint and was glad when she was finally able to get rid of it. I also learned that Vivint apparently sells solar panels for homes. I will advise everyone to stay away from them. Vivint is nothing but a scam.
