VillageMD review: Dishonest and unethical practice - village medical office in northville, mi, the office manager there and sameena zahoor, md.

I contemplated for some time before I decided that I need to share my experience to bring awareness and protect other from falling into the same trap.
I am not a person that leaves negative reviews, but this needs to be done for the protection of others.
This applies to Village Medical office in Northville, MI, the office manager there and Sameena Zahoor, MD.
If I could rate them below zero, I would.
I went for my annual physical and since my doctor left the practice, I was given an appointment with Sameena Zahoor, MD.
She spent no more than 5 min in the room with me and did not do anything to complete my annual check. Not a thing!
She sat on her chair the entire time and did not even listen to by breathing or heart rate.
I was shocked when I received a bill for my ”annual physical” and a separate one for another doctor’s visit on the same day, as well, as a bill for additional blood work.
I didn't have an actual annual physical this year and no one asked for my permission to do extra blood work testing, nor they informed me that additional tests are needed.
I called the billing department, and they told me they billed me correctly based on the notes the doctor left for them.
I called the office, and they refused to let me talk to the doctor. The office manager was not interested at all in understanding my concerns and the fact that I did not have an actual annual physical and that the doctor did not do anything “additional”, nor she asked for my permission to do extra blood work testing or informed me that additional tests are needed.
I was asked to call back multiple times, explaining my concerns repeatedly.
The experience dealing with the office manager was rather unpleasant. She was determined to cover something and cover it well.
I would like to raise awareness and warn others of the fraudulent practice in this office and the very unethical billing practices.
Medical care should be transparent, respectful, and focused on the patient's well-being. The doctors take an Oath to help people, but this doctor and this office manager seem to be more interested in how to wrongfully bill people and insurance companies and get a few extra dollars.
This is very wrong, completely dishonest, highly unethical, and incredibly disturbing.
Please do not fall a victim of this fraudulent medical practice.
I will never go there again and will not recommend anyone else to trust them with their medical needs.
