She even told me what documents I needed to have ready, like the car title and stuff. A few days later, Martinez, the tow guy, came to pick up my car and he was really nice too. He made it quick and easy for me to sign over the title so that the veterans could benefit from my donation. I had a really cool 1959 fire truck that I wanted to donate, and I thought Veteran Car Donations (veterancardonations.org) would be the perfect place to do it. I talked to them for three whole weeks, going back and forth about what information they needed from me. I kept asking them, "If I get you THIS information, are you SURE you want it?" And they always said yes, that they would come pick it up within 24 to 48 hours of getting everything they needed.

But then, when I finally got them the last piece of information they asked for - a clean title - they told me they couldn't pick it up after all! I was so disappointed. I had to go to the BMV multiple times and spend a bunch of money just to get that title, and now they were telling me they didn't want the fire truck after all.

I don't know if they're better with regular cars or what, but I wouldn't use them again. It's a shame, because they're supposed to be a representative organization for our great veterans. But if they can't even follow through on a promise to pick up a donation, what good are they really doing?
