Veritas is no generous they sent me a promos codes, my debt @canadiantiremastercard 4.5k now it’s 1.3k if I e-transfer them the amount. The best part is that I don't shop or ever own and credit card from Canadian Tire. I called Canadian Tire and spoke with them and address doesn’t exist in the system. Which I been living at the same address for the last 15 years. Check my credit report and no Canadian tire on the list.

I have received one of these infamous letters and have given it to my legal counsel . *** why is nothing being done to stop this company ? ( veritas alliance incorporated )
I have emailed them concerning their attempt to obtain funds for a non existing debt ( Acc: *** ) and have notified the RCMP to file a complaint as well as the Complaintsboard.com and am contacting the FCA next .

This company called me left a me a voicemail saying my name and some work place, then decided to call back and leave a voicemail making fun of someone they called ***. I call back to this *** man behind the desk asking why is he calling me his asking for my number and I told him I don't need to give him he said the calls wont stop and he hang up everything is and was recorded. I will report to the local authorities ***.

I just had a collection removed from my *** credit file. It was put on my file by veritas alliance. I tried calling them to correct their mistake, the guy I spoke with, rather than look into my complaint, berated me and hung up on me. I tried filling a dispute through Complaintsboard.com, so I called ***. After investigating for 3 days deleted the account from my file.

These guys sent me a letter in the mail advising me that I owe alot of money to a credit card company. I did not remember ever owning a credit card with the company but they insisted that I did. So i contacted the company direct and they verified i did not ever have an account with them and to inform these guys of that. However, these guys still tried to say i did and had to pay them. Dont let them fool you, contact the moneys owed place first to verify their information

Veritas Alliance has called off and on for almost 4 years about a former friend's debt. He used my address and phone number when he got out of prison and was homeless. He owed a lot to many including me. He passed away in May. I have relayed this to Veritas a number of times including earlier this week. Again I told them to cease and desist and not to send the phone number to anyone else. Now two days later I got an other call from them in clear violation of laws governing their business.

Just this morning this company has called me no less than 30 times, numerous messages on my answering service as well. I contacted them to file my complaint and was met with *** comments and hung up on several times. I have filed this with my cell provider as well. They tired telling my that there is no way I was called that many times just today, I have all of the calls logged as well the messages. They started calling on a number that I blocked, then started calling on a private number, I blocked all private callers on my phone but they continue to get through.

I've been receiving calls from Veritas Alliance. I sent them an email and the responder said it was a financial matter and wanted me to give him my date of birth and full mailing address. With all the *** reviews I've read about this company trying to get money for debts that have been resolved or non existant, I did not feel comfortable giving out my information. To top it off, I do not have old debts. When I bought my house 8 years ago, I took care of all of those. Doesn't things clear from your credit report after 7 years?
I'm tired of receiving phone calls on my home phone

I am not sure what to think about this. They first called my exwife and then they called me. I called the number, first time I got static and then it hung up, the 2nd time I was able to speak to someone who put me on hold, then was disconnected. The 3rd and final time I was able to speak to someone who put me through to a representative. I was then told that I had an outstanding debt of ***$ from 2004 on a Credit Card that I NOT ONCE signed up for. The rep I was talking to would not take my answers seriously. He then said if I agreed to a settlement I would only have to pay ***$.

This company called me cell phone today so I called back and asked why they were calling me I confirmed my birthdate , and the person I spoke to said I had a debt of over *** dollars for a credit card and when I asked how I could have a debt I didn't know about he accused me of denying the debt and hung up on me . So I called the Co.pany the card was apparently issued by and asked them if I have ever had in past or present a *** issued in my maiden or married name , and they confirmed I hadn't

I received a collection letter addressed to another person at my home address. When I called Veritas Alliance Incorporated to inquire about the collection letter, they verified my address and said they would removed my address then hung up. I called back to ask how my address became affiliated with the person. They asked if a person by that name had ever lived at my address. I said no. I continued to ask how my address was linked to the individual named in the letter. They repeated that my address would be removed and hung up again. So how did my address become linked to the person who owes *** money. VERY SUSPICIOUS AND ANNOYING!

I have been receiving phone calls from this mystery number on my cell phone for at least 3 months and when i answer the calls, they hang up. Today, (Dec. 17th) I received a letter in the mail from this company (Vertias) and the phone number matches the one I have been getting for months. I never had a credit card thru my bank before and the letter states I owe *** on this *** i never had thru ***. Tried to contact them but have been on hold for over an hour. *** getting a letter after all these months and nothing else at this time of year, makes it seem even more improbable.

A person by the name of Delwal called where I worked and informed my employer that they are looking for me because I owed money. They shared personal information that was supposed to be kept private. From my understanding, I do not owe anyone any money. I called the person back and informed him that he is not allowed to share personal information however Delwal *** said that he is going to tell my employer that I owe them money. I specifically demanded that they reach out to me by mail and informed him that I sent them a letter... however Delwal refused and threatened me again by saying that he will call my employer again...then he hanged up the phone.

I received a letter from a lawyer from veritas alliance which right away I should have known was fake. I decided to call and see what it was about. They said I owed over $*** from an old acct., this said acct ( I don't remember having said acct) would have been over 20+ years. The agent let it slip that most was interest which I found out later on that it is illegal to add interest to a closed acct. and from what I read my acct is times barred and they legally can not touched ***. And believe that's what they use... scare and manipulation tactics. I found out that because this would have already been on my bureau 20+ years that it can not be put on again. I just want them to stop *** me and using scare tactics on good people.

Veritas Alliance have been calling my wife continuously for a stale debt(2009) that we never owed. So far so, we even never had a credit card with the company they claim that we owe to. On calling them they are giving all fake dates and amounts and threatening us to go for collections via credit bureaus.
We further confirmed with credit unions and there is no record of the alleged credit card being issued to us ever. They sent us a letter from some "***" but the phone #'s on the letter head belong to Veritas (and not the law firm). Even the original debt company (we as per them owed to), is spelt wrong aka there is no such company.

It is becoming a continuous source of *** and now we are planning to formally file a complaint with FCA.

Veritas has been calling my home for the last couple of weeks, and sending letters threatening legal action on an alleged debt that does not appear on my credit report. They have provided false information to *** regarding the debt, claiming that I made a payment on the debt within a time frame that would allow them to pursue legal action in my current province of residence, and report to the credit monitoring bureaus. I have never heard of this company until this month which indicates that they are purchasing debts that have aged out and *** reporting them to the credit bureaus as new. *** . I will be contacting the Financial Consumer Agency to report them. They are the very worst of the worst!

I received a letter from Veritas, Jan. 15th. I briefly spoke to a representative from Veritas when I called to inquire what this letter was referring to. The only information provided by the rep. was that it is an outstanding debt from 2007, which I dispute and regardless is far past the statute of limitations. I do not recognize the Creditor listed. I asked Veritas for information to be sent to me to review, including an original signed contract. That request was ignored as the rep. was focused on getting me to say I'd "resolve" it. This is clearly not legitimate and very obviously a tactic to ensnare people with scare tactics in order for them to make payments for debts they don't owe or are legally uncollectable. From other reviews read- seems to be the experience by many. Very shameful practice at anytime let alone during a global pandemic when life is burdened in all ways.

They have been calling my employer, I called them back and told them to stop calling my place of my employment as this is a business and they don't have time to deal with my personal matters. according to the Canadian laws once I ask them to stop calling my work, by law they must do as such, according to the criminal code of Canada ...when I wouldn't give my address to them over the phone they keep hanging up on me, not very professional in my opinion. I do NOT give my address out over the phone EVER . I TRUST YOU WILL LOOK INTO THE Professionalism OF YOUR EMPLOYEES AND MAKE SURE THEY NEVER CALL MY EMPLOYER AGAIN

Had a *** debt from 10 years ago and due to statue of limitions in Canada it fell off my report. Today I get receive a call from Veritas Alliance and when asking why they were asking me to verify my information before telling me why they contacted me the first agent just said " we're a 3rd party collections agency, expect to be receiving a lot more calls from us " and hangs up on me. I called the number back again and had another agent confirm that they were calling me because of this old *** debt then starts getting aggressive and angry with me when telling him that I had already spoke to *** and the debt they are saying I owe is now more then quadrupled and the "last payment date" on my report is June . I haven't paid this company or any other company in 2018 over this debt and *** erased Veritas off my report. The agent was very adamant on telling me it was someone else who added the last paid date not them. I would like to never hear from this company again.

I am being called by Veritas Alliance about a debt which I do not think exist as there is nothing on my credit report. I did have an american student loan around 2003 when I went to Teachers college and I paid it for 10 years *** I still have *** problems and had to quit my job. ***. At that time said they would forgive it because of my situation. ***. I have not heard anything from them all this time and there is nothing on my credit report. This company has called me consistedly (16x in one day with different last 4#s) ***. I do not have documents as thought it was resolved.

I keep detailed records of my credit reports. Veritas is trying to collect on a debt from *** that I opened in 2009. That debt would be 12 years old at this point and it states that the last activity on my newest Report was August . However, a print out report I received from *** shows this account as expited due to statute of limitation 6 years in Manitoba. Therefore, 2009 to 2015 would be 6 years in total. I also know I never made any activity on this account in 2015. I contacted Consumer Protection Branch in 2015 & went to the office with all my credit inquiries and copies of credit reports. I know for a fact an account that 12 yrs old cannot be added to my report. I already had an file open with the consumer protection, I can reopen it with this with this newest credit report and FAKE DATE. I want Veritas to provide me with the original copies of the CSF account and dates so I can compare to bank and credit card statements. The activity does not exist.

This company first tried to contact me on January 13 and did not leave a message but 12 minutes later texted my cellphone about and important matter to a cellphone in which I have to pay for every call and text then again on the 25 of March without leaving a message but 21 minute later left a text saying to call a certain number about a very important Legal matter ..Then today the 9 of April called and left a long message saying I didn" answer a letter they sent a week ago today ...First off I have nothing in collections whatsoever. I do not owe anybody any money my payments are all paid on time every month and has been for years now .I have good credit and I will not stand having you people call my cellphone and use all my minutes anymore it is against the law ...You are supposed to send a letter before even trying to contact anyone .*** anything you are calling about is way beyond statute of limitations. Cease all contact with me

Veritas has been calling regarding a debt that I supposedly had 10 years ago. When I spoke to the customer service rep, I said I do not, and should not even be getting calls for a debt that is over 10 years old. I couldn't understand why I was being contacted after all this time. I checked my *** report and noticed that they had re aged the debt to make it look like it was recent. I filed a dispute with *** and they removed it from my report. Fast forward to a few weeks later, I was called again and spoke to a Mr.. ***. He said that a judgement was filed against me in 2009 for this account. But I didn't show up to court so the creditors just forgot about it because the amount owing was so little. So I guess 12 years later they've had a change of heart. He said that they were going to garnish my bank accounts if the money owing is not paid, amongst other things. It's been 12 years and this debt if exists can not be enforced. Statute Barred.

I have had Veritas call me at least once a week for months now. In each interaction I tell them that I am unable to pay my small debt to *** due to unemployment. Today, as of 5PM I received a call from a collector. I have never had such a *** customer service representative in my life. He proceeded to become somewhat angry with me, spoke over me when I was trying to speak and explain my situation. I asked to have a not made to not contact me for at least 6 months so that I have time to find work. He told me to find money from others in order to pay now. When I began saying that I was neither able to or going to do that he hung up on me mid-sentence. If you have collectors HANGING UP ON people they continuously*** you clearly do not need my money. I will never take a call from them again; I have blocked them. I want my "debt" wiped and to never be reached out to again. I haven't received mail or emails to discuss my "debt" so I don't believe it is anything worth *** someone over.

Veritas Alliance or *** has filed a collections with *** under my name for non payment of a hot water tank rental. It is affecting my credit score VERY negatively. I called and have been trying to speak with reps since October . I have explained that this is NOT my collection as the property where the rental is located is a rental property not owned by me. As a renter I cannot be charged for the rental of a hot water heater. The First delinquency date states 08-01-2018 and I was NOT even living at that address at the time they are stating. I relocated from the address they are claiming I owe money to in 2014. Even if there was a collection it is will passed the statute of limitations to even try and collect. There should be no collection, I have not received any documentation regarding an outstanding balance from Veritas Alliance, just *** phone calls, or unanswered calls. I would request that this collection be removed from my *** report and stated that this was an error so that my report reflects positive again.

Starting in early October , I started getting voicemails from Veritas Alliance about a personal business matter. Upon research I found out they are a collection company and from my understanding they are required to send a letter before contacting you by phone, I received no letter. I monitor my credit closely and have no items in collection as all debts were settled with a bankruptcy that has been discharged since 2014, the only credit items I have applied for since are two credit cards, one that was paid out in full and another that is still active and in good standing. Upon checking my credit I noticed that Veritas Alliance did a soft check on my credit presumably to get my phone number which is not appreciated. I do not owe any money except for my one credit card, so I have no idea what this company wants as they just call and leave voicemails for me with my married last name which I haven't gone by in 7 years. I want them to stop calling my cell phone, put me on a do not call list and to close my case. If my credit is touched in anyway I want corrections made to my credit report as well, I've worked hard to rebuild my credit.

. Veritas Alliance reported two fraudulent items to *** alleging that they are collecting debts on behalf of ***. They aren't. ***. Two items on my credit bureau report were removed in early 2020 as required by the statute of limitations. Both items had a date of last activity of 2014. Veritas Alliance is not collecting on behalf of *** (*** confirmed that to me today) and what this *** "business" did was take statute-barred accounts and change their name, dramatically increase the dollar amounts, and lie to change the dates of last activity from 2014 to 2016/2017. They then put them back onto my *** report in October pretending these are new *** debts. *** You don't accidentally change the name of an account. You don't accidentally add on thousands of dollars. You don't accidentally take a statute-barred account and pretend it's new. Those things only happen when Veritas Alliance is deliberately ***. ***.

. This complaint is against 'Veritas Alliance', with a letterhead stating '***'. The letter as before is threatening me with some form of *** legal action "if I don't pay an outstanding balance of $4, 412.00 for a '*** Loan'. On previous occasions I have contacted *** and *** and there is absolutely no knowledge nor indication of any outstanding Loan in my name. I have no loans or payments owing to *** and knowing I have only ever owned one *** vehicle. Not purchased from ***. *** sent me a letter to indicate that the claim is bogus and false and that there isn't and never has been any outstanding loan or payments owing to ***. It's a lie and if whomever company is created from this address indicated above does not STOP I will take action against them. The letter is not signed properly and is from a '***'. Please inform the many different companies from ***, in this case Veritas Alliance Incorporated to STOP. ***. If any *** credit statements have been done, they shall remove them immediately. If not, I will prosecute.

I received a letter in the mail today from Veritas Alliance Incorporated stating that I owe an amount via an *** REVOLVING CARD, with a card number that is not recognizable to me ***, where I am a currently a Corporate *** card holder as well as personal individual card holder, and have not had any past or current issues with any amounts owing. I've within the last couple of months had a bureau check done where this card does not appear on my account as an amount owing. Where this company obtained my information from and correlated it to me as an amount owing is unknown to me. If this company puts a blemish on my credit bureau it will ruin my current venture of home ownership of which I'm currently in the process of. This company needs to cease and desist with their threats of affecting my credit bureau rating in search of an amount to be paid, which does not belong to me. They have provided me with quite a *** letter stating I better pay a reduced amount by November 29th, and if not a payment plan will no longer be available to me. I do not have any amounts owing to them or any other credit card company, therefore none of their payment plans or even a payment made to them in any amount is owed by me. I am looking for this company to stop whatever actions they plan on taking as they completely have the wrong person for this.

Letter dated January 14, 2022 (attached). Veritas Alliance at *** servicing notice on an unresolved issue, settlement offer of $744.85 on a supposed current balance of $2,979.38. These funds are NOT owed, this was settled well over 15 years ago on an original loan of over 25 years ago. As paperwork is shredded after 7 years I cannot even remember the date or Agency that I dealt with. This supposed debt has never been on *** as I don't owe it. They have given me until January 31, 2022 to pay this amount that I do not owe. I need some assistance in having this stopped, *** As this was settled in full over 15 years ago, why are they now coming out of the woodwork, this is *** and at my age and the years I have spent rebuilding my life is wrong. This company needs to clean up their records with previous companies, as I have never heard of these people. If you like you can call my cell at at any time, XXX-XXX-XXXX. This issue is a result of someone's poor record keeping when passing off files from one Agency to the next. They have no right to destroy a persons good rating on something that was closed so many years ago. Asking for payment via Direct Deposit, Wire Transfer etc. X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. They say I have the means to pay this...exactly what does that mean and how would they know my situation. This matter needs to be closed and they should not be reporting anything to *** as mentioned it has never been on my file, never reached out and it was resolved and paid over 20 years ago.In the below desired resolution. I have requested a billing adjustment which should be to ZERO. I also selected Correction to a credit a report as I never want this on my credit report, its not owed.

I first received communications from this company quite a long time ago. They claimed that I owed a debt for a service that I never actually had. They claimed that I owed money for a service that I wasn't actually in the country. They keep calling and I've asked them several times not to call. I told them there's nothing on my credit report about what they claim. They don't care. Yesterday I received at least three calls from their automated system. According to the law of my province, they are only allowed to call once per day. Yet here I am receiving multiple telephone calls during the week from their organization. I have now started filtering my calls and will no longer answer the phone when they call. When I actually spoke to someone from the organization I told him I have no idea what they're talking about or why there calling me but they insisted that I owed somebody money even after I clearly explained that I have no clue what they're talking about. They have been completely unable to prove avir receipt or transaction that I agreed to anything. Yet they demand that I pay money for something that I have no knowledge of. I've asked them not to call me anymore and they simply do not respect my wishes. They are currently in violation of the law of my province of residence and I'm filing this complaint because I do not wish to contact them directly and I do not wish to have to consult an attorney to take them to court. They have been unable to prove any of their claims and they will not stop the *** amount of telephone calls that hav resulted in multiple calls to my home every day of the week. They have a choice, they can remove me permanently from their call list and they can no longer contact me and delete all of my information from their system or, I will be forced to consult a lawyer and have to take civil action against them at which time I will consider compensation for the *** and even consider filing a criminal complaint due to their ongoing

I have been ***, belittled, threatened and made out to be a mendacious person. I have been compliant and attempted to resolve this issue accordingly. Unfortunately I can't attach all emails to prove my case. I had set arrangements to begin payment scheduled to commence in January . This company Veritas had a representative call me and *** and threatened to garnish all my wages and *** and said I agreed to start payment in December through email. An email I never received and/or committed too! As noted above I sent the first payment of $100.00 on December 17 and the following one January 16. I respectfully sent an email stating on both occasions that the payment was made and for the amount indicated. On January 18 the responded saying they infact HAVEN'T received any payments and unjustly accused myself of being mendacious and began accusing myself of playing games! I sent an email back with screenshots to show I made payments with the confirmation number from my bank. I received a pathetic apology for their negligence, an apology I refused to accept after everything this company has done to me in the short time I have been in contact. I absolutely refuse to answer their phone calls because of their *** and *** actions towards myself and only chose to communicate through email so I can have ALL conversations and threats documented. I have been compliant and I wish to have this irresponsible and utterly pathetic company handle this matter. I will not tolerate this behavior anymore from this company. I am a single mom of 2 kids and recently have had my hours at work lowered from this pandemic of Covid-19. I don't need their added stress on my everyday life and refuse to allow any company take advantage and belittle myself any further. Like I said I have the emails screenshotted and will provide them if necessary. On the 22 March , I received a notice from Veritas Alliance Incorporated, A collection company, mandated by ***, to contact me for collection in the matter of unresolved account for the amount of $*** for service dating June . *** In December , my residence at *** was legally sold and possession date for the new owner for January . All service provider associated with the residence were duly informed and financial expenditure for the services duly paid by 12 January . In the matter of ***, no formal contract existed beside telephone calls to initiate the services and carry out adjustment to the latter. Monthly Payment to *** for the service was duly effected through *** billing, Charges for Other Company. It is interesting to note that I never received a direct invoice from *** but rather invoices as third party on the *** monthly invoice (***). As additional information my postal change of address was formally communicated to ***. I communicated with *** to question the Veritas Alliance collection letter received by mail on the 22 March . The latter informed me that the additional charges was for protection plan adjustment for the period of Jan 2018 to June albeit the residence were the services were provided had been legally sold. *** billing department (***) was kind enough to forward by email (22March ) a copy of the invoice issued on the 28June . I informed The billing department that I never did receive a copy of the stated invoice. I reaffrm that all previous invoice to *** were duly paid with the *** monthly invoice and I assumed that *** would have been transmitted the cessation note. The invoice (***) and which I never received indicates clearly that such was not the case and that *** did not duly conducted proper business in this instance. I was told to contact Veritas Alliance to resolve the issue. Veritas was contacted and could not offer any resolution other than requesting payment, in the amount of $*** for overdue invoice. Veritas was informed that I would communicate with Complaintsboard.com for resolution in this matter. Three years have elapse since the overcharge invoice was issued by *** and without any clear and direct contact with me, the client. Unacceptable!

During the 1st week of Jan/21, my husband had been receiving calls from a company called "Veritas Alliance" but didn't answer the call. At approx 9am PST on Sat Jan 9/21 once again, my husband received a phone call from Veritas Alliance but this time he answered. The caller identified himself as *** &stated he was looking for *** (my previous married name from 1996). *** told my husband he was looking for me & disclosed personal information such as my DOB and an address they had on file & asked if my husband knew me because there was an outstanding account that needed to be settled. My husband confirmed he knew me but did not forward my phone number. At that time, my husband texted me to tell me someone from a company names Veritas was looking for me. It was then that I received my first phone call from Veritas. I also spoke to ***, who said Veritas had been contracted by another company to find me and settle a $16K debt that I owed to ***. He said a letter had been sent to me in Dec. and asked why I didn't respond to it. I told him I never received a letter. There were a few mentions of this letter during the conversation & *** implied that I was not telling the truth when I was saying I never received it. A letter was eventually emailed to me and it was addressed to a home that I lived at in the early 2000's & with a last name that I haven't had in over 15 years). I told him at that time that I don't recall ever having a loan by a company of this name. There was a bit of back and forth around the types of loans I may have taken out, under what names, or with whom and none of the scenarios made sense. There was mention that when my ex-husband filed for bankruptcy that this may have been a loan that he had, & it could have been carried over to me. I asked several questions trying to get clarification on how this loan could have been assigned to me but no answers were provided. I was also told that they had done a soft credit check on me and that my credit was actually quite good but that if it escalated, they would do a hard check & this would affect my credit rating. I told him that he and Veritas do not have my permission to do a credit check. I was told that at this point it was only soft credit checks but if I didn't pay this debt, it would be escalated. I was obviously distraught and confused because this is a large sum of money for something I have no recollection of owing and that has never come up in my credit checks with my bank. *** told me that he had been approved to accept $4K but that the offer technically ended the previous day. He said if I could pay the money today that he would be able to have the offer extended. At this point I wasn't sure that this wasn't a *** so I told him no because I needed time to figure some things out. We went back and forth a bit & *** was quite firm that if I didn't get the money to them in a week that this would be escalated, there would be no settlement offer, and it would be on my credit report and they wouldn't be offering any settlement. I told him I would get back to him on Wednesday on the following week. I gave *** my email address & asked him to correspond with me that way. Over the next 2 weeks, Veritas Alliance called both mine & my husband's cell phone every day. I never received the Dec letter but received an emailed letter on Jan 20 ***. I spoke to my ex-husband and he confirmed that he had not yet completed his bankruptcy but *** is not one of the companies he owes. I also spoke to my financial advisor at the *** who said when my credit check was done 4 months ago, there was nothing on it from a *** & nothing showing a $16K debt. I was advised at that time to contact the Complaintsboard.com & file a claim requesting that Veritas Alliance stop contacting me & that this file be closed without prejudice & without any negative consequence to my credit report.
