On Oct. 17th, we attended all 3 VVs in London - as we do every Tues. As you can imagine, we spend a significant amount of money. On this particular day, we attended the one at Wonderland and Oxford, the one on Dundas east, as well as the mission stores and restores. We look for bargains and sometimes resell. It was late afternoon when we attended the Wellington Road south store - close to 4 pm- and we were tired, so just picked up what we wanted and headed out. We always use self checkout as they never have a cashier open. We asked this particular "cashier" to input our senior discount. She is a foreign lady with an accent. I don't have name but manager will know. She immediately started to accuse us of changing tags - I denied - she said "I have worked here for ever and I know these prices are wrong." She was LOUD and of course all the other customers started looking at us like theives! She started to pull off the tags! I finally told her to stop touching my cart and I demanded a manager, who did come over and take us to a til - the prices she 'confirmed' were in most cases less than what the tag had been! The exception was a couple of Tupperware pieces. I had just ordered a 4 piece set on Amazon fir $24. She told us the old sticky Tupperware was $7.99 each, so we declined. They had been priced at $4.99 which with the discount, I would have paid. But not paying more than new price! When we paid our bill and were leaving - totally embarrassed by the incident - this foreign lady was telling all the customers in line that we had been caught switching price tags! My husband pulled me out of the store or I would have created a scene. What right did she have to accuse us? We were totally innocent. This woman has worked there for years and has a horrible manner with customers. I have always refused to check out with her. She is rude and ignorant in her manner. The manager tried to smooth it over but after the scene she caused, there was no smoothing. And then to hear what she was saying when we were leaving? I was mortified.. her accusations were totally unfounded- but to tell other customers a story that was untrue?

We will continue to frequent VV - but not that store. If I go in there and that woman is there, she will be sorry she ever spread vicious lies. I will tell her plainly she lied and I do not appreciate having my character degraded. She should be fired for her impertinent demeanor.

I have impeccable character - honesty and integrity.

Store 2026. Trans 0830. Checked out at 6:05:26 pm on October 17.

I expect return confirmation this employee has been disciplined and must undergo customer relations course as well as understanding that we could have sued for blatant defamation.

Claimed loss: Defamed character. Remuneration open to your discretion.

Desired outcome: Fire this woman!! Minimum is apology and reprimand.
