I took my car in for an oil change. When it was done I asked how the transmission level was. I was told the level was good. Then I asked the person changing the oil if they had a dip stick and he said no, but sometimes they ask service to come and check the transmission oil level. Then he went on to say they were to busy today. So I asked again did you check my transmission oil level and I was told no, because they go by milage. (75, 000 flush and change). So I said you did not check my oil, did you? He replied no, but it is good, and if I want it checked I can go to service and they will check it for $15. I have asked this question on several other oil changes and always got a response it is fine. Well, now I find out they never check it, you need to go to service and pay for something that is free in every other vehical! This is wrong that they lead you on giving you the false impression that they checked the oil. If my car transmission fails due to oil level, who do I blame?
Due to the false impression they gave me that my transmission oil level was checked, they should give me a 100, 000 mile extended warranty on both my 2008 Chrysler 300s that I get serviced there and actually check the transmission oil level when I come in. If a transmission fail it could be a 4 or 5000 dollar repair and I have two vehicles serviced there.
