Costco - hearing aid department

On saturday the 28th of december, 2019 I had an appointment for hearing test that was required to get hearing aids. I knew my hearing was very poor, thats why I wanted to try hearing aids.
Its all cash type deal to get hearing aids because my health insurance company does not cover hearing aids... (I guess hearing is not a part of my health).
So I finish with my exam and the lady tells me all about hearing aids and options but makes a totally subjective call that she will not allow me to buy hearing aids until I got to my doctor with the test results and get an ok from my doctor authorizing costco to sell me a pair, basically.
This really upsets me because my hearing doctor rice in silverdale doctors clininc is the one who helped me get my ears evaluated and worked on, doctor rice is my ear doctor who told me to go get hearing aids if I wanted. That he did all he could do and that was that. If I wanted to improve my hearing I would need hearing aids.
So now because of this costco hearing technition. I have to spend time on monday morning trying to get an appointment that I will have to pay for that will probably be two to four weeks out if im lucky. She did not have to take that stance. Its like I just wanna get my hearing aids elswhere. There was no reason to complicate the matter and cause undo burden an cost on me.
I sat in the hearing room at costco for almost a half an hour getting a consult with the technition with over the counter hearing aids she took off her desk and put on me. It was quite thrilling to hear so good for once. I was really excited to pull out some cash and buy my first set. But noooo. Fear of liability and cya mentallity had to totall put a bummer on the whole process needlessly. Dont know if I will buy my hearing aids there or not now.
Is this correct? Is this normal to have to get a piece of paper from a hearing specialist to get hearing aids at costco? After I told tech all of my history and my conversation with doctor rice encouraging me to see out hearing aids? Yolland torres [protected] john ostby
