I went this evening, Wednesday, September 30th, to the same SHELL gas station I've been going to for over 20 years now at 2722 Airline Blvd in Portsmouth, VA at about 7:30 pm to get a propane exchange and was told by the new girl working behind the counter that she was not going to give me a propane bottle exchange. She simply said no, she wasn't going to give me a propane bottle exchange. No reason, no apology, no nothing except for no, she wasn't going to do it. I actually drive 3 times as far to go to this station because I've always received good service at this SHELL station and over the years the women that run it have always been courteous and nice. Never again! I'll never go to this SHELL station again after wasting my time to be told by this young girl that she's not going to do her job and sell me the propane I drove 2 miles down the road to buy. I left there and went to the SHELL station at the corner of Portsmouth Blvd and Elmhurst Ln and there was also a new girl working at this station. She didn't even know where the key was, but she called her boss at home, found the key and exchanged my propane bottle for me. She was very courteous and polite and from now on I'll drive the extra mile to go to this SHELL station every time, even though the propane refill was a little more expensive, at least this girl was nice and had a good attitude while she did what she's being paid to do. I've been using my SHELL/TEXACO credit card since 1990 because I think it's simply the best fuel on the market for passenger vehicles, and this is the first time I've ever had a reason to complain about my treatment at a SHELL gas station, but tonight I'm mad as hell at the way I was treated by some young girl half my age that wouldn't do her job.
