I placed a $571 order and it was delivered to my apartment building. Our building is fob entry only so our complex has a package concierge center so packages aren’t just sitting around. The third party delivery driver left the package at the back door and provided a proof of delivery. I went to retrieve my package a few hours after it was delivered and the package was gone. I searched inside our building, on every floor, our mail room, and the package center in case someone saw it and moved it to a more secure location. The box was nowhere to be found so I figured it was stolen. I emailed american eagle customer service immediately and even included that the delivery driver did include a proof of delivery. I was told to wait 3 days because sometimes the delivery service says it was delivered and it really wasn’t. Seems sketch but okay. After 3 days I am told that due to the cost of the order they have submitted it to their team and will hear back after 2 days. 2 days later i’m hit with an email saying the driver provided proof of delivery (which I included in my first message a week previously) so we can’t issue a refund or replacement, sorry not sorry, have a good day.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate either a refund or even store credit so I can re-order my desired items. I like American Eagle and think they have quality products, but their customer service policies are total garbage and a major disappointment.
