Right before Covid hit I had purchased a TV and computer from Conns. When I purchased the tv and laptop I was told that my total payments would be $144/month. About 2 weeks later covid hit and I lost my Job. I started noticing that weekly payments were coming out of my account in the amount of $144. I contacted Conns and was told to speak with the salesman that sold the tv to me. The manager would not help me, she just kept telling me to contact the salesman which everytime I tried they would say he was not there. I even went down to the store 3 seperate times and saw the salesman but when he noticed me he went into the back room and the manager told me he was not there. This location is the Willowbrook Conns in Houston TX on fm 1960. I was battling to make all of these extra payments and shortly after was unable to. I ended up catching Covid and was in the Hospital for over a month. During this time my private business that was helping me get by, was robbed from within my company. My company ended up closing. Conns collections now has started calling and harrassing everyone around me, we have 7 different people that they have contacted including my old boss. They have tried pressing me with a civil suit and now have another person threatening me with harrasment. This is the most shady business that I have ever dealt with and I highly advise everyone to be very wary of dealing with them. I am currently looking into legal options because they have violated the fair credit act repeatedly even after advised. I am at my wits end with this company and especially right before Christmas they have chosen to try and continue this illegal harassment. Please beware of this company.
Desired outcome: I would like them to leave me alone, they lied to me from the beginning and now have violated the law.
