Took car in on 10/01/2033 due to service engine light being on. Derek stated would have to run diagnostic which I agreed to. Came back and stated the VVT solenoid needed to be changed and an oil change. I agreed to the services. Derek called at about 4:30 same day and tells me my engine blew up. Then the manager calls on 10/2/2023 and states unfortunately those things happen and proceeds to give me a cost of a new engine. No those things just don't happen. You don't take your car in running and then get a call that it's not running. I don't know what happened in between the technician changing that part to the engine going bad but something was done incorrectly for something to just happen like that. My car was running fine and someone is trying to cover their mistake.
Desired outcome: I would like my car repaired at Firestone expense because again my car was running when it was dropped off
Firestone Complete Auto Care - Services
Went into store#678961 on Saturday 04/24/2021 and was charged over $800 for spark plug change, fuel injection cleaner, oil gasket and problem still not resolved and service light still on... Went back today Monday 04/26/2021 and the service manager states the diagnostic person works Tuesday-Saturday and I said I was just here on Saturday and he was not here. This location has a lot of trainees at this store and if no supervisor is going to be there then they should not be there either. I feel like since I am a woman they just overcharge and I should have asked to see the parts that were supposedly changed... Went to 2nd location and guy states the diagnostic person would be in today but would not be able to service car because lead mechanic not in. Now I am at the 3rd location hoping to get to the root of the problem but who runs a business like this that you have to go to 3 different locations to get service... This is ridiculous. I should be compensated for my time and not charged a diagnostic fee because the employees are not doing their job. People come for service not to run around to finally get to a store where something can actually be done.
Desired outcome: To be compensated for the diagnosis fee and whatever service has to be completed today
