I received an email earlier that week from La Quinta stating they were running a promotion (15% off your stay) within the booking dates listed above. At that time we booked our stay for one night for $72.00 (Two queens, w/fridge and microwave). I received the email confirmation back confirming that rate. Upon arrival the receptionist could not find my reservation and made comments about system issues. After about 30 minutes of our time went she finally found it. It had a total rate of $84.00 she stated that was for the Tax occupancy city and state. I didn't want to argue as we were already tired.
After coming down from our room to head out for the evening the receptionist asked if we had a double reservation. I said no and that I hope I'm not being double charged. The Manager Danny interrupted her and said no mam we are just having problem with reservations made online.
At check out I notice that my total room rate charged for the night was $94.92. THAT WAS NOT THE PROMOTION. We travel frequently to this tiny town because of our daughter attending college. We usually stay across the way at Comfort Inn. Much cleaner, nicer and the rate doesn't change. Since the new owners took over 2 1/2 years ago we used to stay at the La Quinta but they kept changing rate and always made it difficult to redeem free night stays that we earned always adding stipulations.
However due to the promotion we'd thought we'd give it a try. Failed, and the manager is rude from another country and upon complaining would not let us get a word in. We will never stay here again!
We have received your comment. Thank you!
