Dear Complaint Department,
I got out of Customer Service 6 years ago, after 35 years of Customer Service/Assistant Management Positions, choosing not to further in full-time Management.
I noticed in the store that I regularly shop, 11100 Leopard Corpus Christi, Tx 78410, particularly today, that the Cashier had to sack his Check & Sack groceries for 3 customers that were ahead of me. We it came to me, I had to help him sack my groceries!
There were too many "Chiefs" walking around, obviously wanted to look important, that they couldn't assist Cashiers. I seen one "Chief" that held a lengthy conversation with employee/customer in front of the Cashier's check stand. I noticed several "Female Chiefs" walking around! I noticed a Employee that monitored the self check-out stands, changing small trash cans, next to the Youngman that was Checking me out, and in my opinion, that could have waited. In spite of it all, the Cashier maintained a "steady-flow" scanning the customers through!
In my Customer Service experience, it was more important to move the lines and get the customers through, in a timely manner, while maybe one of the "Chiefs" could have assist with sacking customers groceries.
As an Assistant Manager, I ALWAYS demonstrated that I wasn't TOO good to do the work, even when it came down to cleaning restrooms, swept outside, etc.
This saddens me, because of certain people that are put in a higher position, that their heads are so elevated, that they can't see the Forrest because of the Trees. Taking the initiative of seeing that the Customers are first!
