I was extremely disappointed in the large deli tray (which I had pre-ordered days ahead). When I arrived to pick it up early on the morning of August 17, there seemed to be some confusion among the workers about where it was. It took the clerk a while to come back with the tray. Another worker stated "Oh, she has two trays right?"
I responded only one tray was mine. When I placed it in my basket I noticed how skimpy the quantity of veggies was on the tray. I was in a hurry so I went by the produce area and bought more carrots, squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, and pickles just to fill the tray up. And this tray was $29.99 already so it really cost me around $40. by the time I purchased additional items.
It was a good thing I had purchased additional because when I opened the tray at the party, it was embarrassing! The lettuce used for decoration was all wilted, the olives were all over the tray (it was not even supposed to have olives) and the veggies were so skimpy---just one handful of carrots, 4 pickle spears, etc.
Needless to say I will not be ordering any more veggie trays from HEB and will likely not order trays of any kind from this store.
HEB has gotten too big for their britches and I have been trying to shop elsewhere for about a year now. Done deal!
