On September 22, 2022, I met with your consultant to sign the Change of Order form and scheduled my carpet to be removed and replaced by vinyl flooring in two rooms and hallway on September 29. The original quote was $7126.26, and an itemized list of details was included. The new price was $4850.00 which was paid in full.
I am now receiving numerous phone calls and letters stating that I owe a balance of $642.88 for the Empire Service Plan. This was listed in the Contract Payment Details. The Change of Order had no additional notes indicating that there were no changes in the product terms. I repeatedly have stated that I will not pay any more money and my balance is zero.
Your flooring consultant/sales rep texted me on October 28, that it may be her "mistake in the process, however, we should still be able to cover it". I was also told that your sales manager and market manager would get back to me but neither has contacted me. I have left numerous messages with both.
I have received a third and final notice that threatens to forward my account to a third party collection agency. I have called the Collections Department number several times to no avail. I do not want this situation to affect my credit rating.
Desired outcome: I would like a response and an apology for the harassment of phone calls and letters concerning a balance that I do not owe.
