JC Penney - Salon

As the result of unethical conduct, slander, mistreatment, I have found myself receiving the short end of the stick in a hostile gossiping work environment. The manager of the salon was dishonest, is hardly present, and is spread too thin to hold up her claims in further roles she would play in the salon for its staff. It seems like the one that did not mistreat people, and doesn’t participate in all the gossip and negative banter, I’ve been treated with exclusion.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology for false accusations and dishonesty on managements part.

As a Former Employee in the Salon, I was reminded why I despise typical salon environments. It’s sad how the Salon Manager had so much “faith” in an employee, that constantly complained about her competency, lack of presence, and broken promises proposed at the beginning of most of our employment. There were unnecessary negative attitudes and a lack of respect for mental health. The manager constantly openly spoke on personal matters in front of random clients, when certain things did NOT need to be said. There was nothing done when there was disrespect towards me. There was dishonesty and a lack of professionalism within the Salon Manager and the HR. They gathered baseless information and accused me, attacking my morality, ethics and character. I don’t care about favoritism, but it was very much apparent, prevalent and sad. I can’t even fit all of the detailed violations that occurred within the salon. One of the Stylist lacks genuine respect for the manager; claiming this manager “takes her ideas and claims them to be their own”. Reminiscing on a position she will never obtain again, caused her to seemingly feel superior over others in the salon. Behaving in a disrespectful manner to me, and behind the backs of others; even when given advice about her work. The manager never truly addressed issues that needed to be addressed in meetings, but claimed she didn’t allow drama in the salon. Disregarding the fact that there was actual drama, terrible attitudes, lack of genuineness, slander, etc.
