On Friday May 3, 2019 @12:54pm I shopped at The Dollar Tree in Middletown R.I. like I do every Friday. I was unable to find two items so I asked Two different managers for help with assistance when i noticed their attitude change poorly towards me. I understand they are busy but the attitudes where uncalled for especially when I am in there weekly shopping. as i proceeded to cash out i noticed the cashier on shift was on some form of drugs where as if she looks doped out of her mind. Or drunk. She had the worse attitude. She was slamming fragile items in the bags as if she didn't want to be at work. Many times i have witnessed this with the same cashier. The more I go in there it seems like they are under staffed. The lines are long, the staff moral is down, and many seem to have daily attitudes with the exception of two morning cashiers who seem to really enjoy their jobs. Every time I pull up to the parking lot, I see the same staff members smoking cigerates outside the store as the lines are going down the isles. A few times i have been in there i also notice staff being unprofessional in front of customers, correcting in a negative way or talking down to each other. Again maybe they are understaffed but the unprofessionalism of some and the stuff attitudes are becoming a big issue at this location. I am going to start traveling to a different location, just so i don't have to deal with ignorant cashiers at this location.
Hey, I used to work at the dollar tree, here is a tip: as an employee, you can not hit a customer, even if they hit you first. As showcased with the two crack heads above, all you need to do is get back in their face when they give an attitude. Being trash, they WILL snap. That’s just a suggestion. You can even physically asualt them, their cameras suck so bad that the police did nothing whenever our staff was assualted.
