This issue began between Associate Andrew Waring & Manager Dave (Last Name Unknown), on [protected]. The dispute between I (Andrew W.). and my manager Dave started when I locked the door 5mins prior to closing time which was 9pm. I had locked the door due to seeing roughly 5-7 additional customers walk in the store. And due to our store closing in 5mins, I figured locking the door would prevent any more customers from walking in after closing as it would've taken until 9pm to check everyone out. As I went back to my register as I had a line of people to check out, 2 of the people who had just walked in tried to walk out again. They stopped at the door as it was locked. I left my register to let the customers out and as I was coming back into the stor, Dave aggressively told me, "Get back to your register… Now!" at which point I replied, "Don't speak to me like you're my father Dave. You're my manager, nothing more." dave got back onto his register and I resumed checking my current customer out. After all the customers had been let out, I walked in the store, turned to Dave, and asked if he was closing any more nights this week. He proceeded to tell me he was closing on saturday night and then asked me if that was an issue. I then told him yes because if he was scheduled to close with me that he would need to find coverage for those days. Dave then proceeded to tell me "Well then you'll need to find a new job" I asked him "why" and after this point I am unsure of specifics due to Dave shouting at me about how other managers are wrong for telling me I can lock the door 5 mins to closing
