On 01/17/2023 at 5:42 pm I went to get gas. I asked for a fill and gave $40 told the attendant that it probably only take $25-30. When the attendant came I told him the pump will turn off every 2-3 dollars it needs to be put in slow to start. Well he didn't like that so he sat a big padlock inside the pump handle to hold it at about $22 I started smelling a lot of gas so got out and checked it. The gas was pouring all over my car I tried to pull the pump out to turn it off when another attendant came and helped me he took the padlock out. I asked why do I have to pay for the gas on the ground he never said anything when he came back to give my change he said I gave you a $1 extra back. I said thank you. But at least $3 was on the ground and dripping off my car. So I asked the first attendant to wash off my car. And said why am I paying for gas on the ground he said it's my fault because my car didn't stop the pump. My car stops the pump I said you had a padlock shoved in the pump and wasn't watching it. You weren't doing your job you put it there so you wouldn't have to bother with it clicking off all the time. He barely washed off my car. This is the 2nd time this has happened at this safeways.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and maybe a gift card or something. Thank you for time.
Safeway - tera the store manager
On 02/06 I had a Safeway employee help me look for the item I was looking for, and the young gentleman said he worked for Starbucks and did not know where the item was, but he proceeded to tell me that he could get the manager to come help me find it. Well once she arrived we looked for it all over the store and she came to the conclusion that they were all out of the seasoning I was looking for. I asked her if she knew where it could be found at another store and she responded saying "I'm not going to waste my time looking when I could be doing something else more productive" it's absurd how the manager responded like that. After all it is her obligation to help the customer. I knew it was gonna be a struggle to talk to her because of the way she was responding. She looked so mad and smelt like nothing but cigarettes. Worst customer service.
