We were gifted a gift card for your establishment for christmas. About a month later we attempted to use the gift card which was denied due to lack of employee competence. Upon checking the balance of said gift card, the balance was the full $25 gifted amount. We ended up paying via credit card for the purchase at the establishment who was not willing to work with us in this situation. We came back to chili's today, 4/20, to use the $25 gift card that has been verified online and via phone and has had the $25 verified on it. The staff was inable to verify that there was a $25 credit on it until we pointed out calling and/or checking via web the remaining amount which is listed on the back of the card. At this point they verified the $25 credit was applicable after 20 mins. We ordered burgers which were ordered to medium, but were received sticky and bright red in the middle. This used to be our favorite restaurant but likely will not return after this terrible visit. The management attempted to blame the cooks/waitress which this was in no way their fault and if it was, they were not trained properly. She mention the staff is trained to cook to either "pink or not pick" which is absolutely ricidous and cannot be the standard for food establishments for food safety reasons. This is really embarrassing to your company and I feel really sorry for your employees to have to deal with this situation. Do better. Please do not blame the wonderful waitress we had - this is pure management and lack of training.
